I AM A RESIDENT ,COMPLETE WITH AN INVALID UNOFFICIAL 30 DAY NOTICE THEY GAVE TO MY CHILD...DUE TO THEM CANCELING MY RESERVATIONS TRYING TO CHARGE ME MORE THAN $100 PER NIGHT AND I AM A REGISTERED GUESS ACTUALLY.NOT TO MENTION THEY MADE ME TAKE THE ROOM OUT OF MY NAME AND PUT IT IN MY MOTHERS NAME FOR WHATEVER REASON.SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICING. THEY SAID I WAS TRESPASSING ONCE I REFUSED THEIR REQUEST TO TAKE DOWN THIS REVIEW...I AM A LOCAL GOOGLE GUIDE AND I TAKE MY REVIEWS VERY SERIOUSLY. THEY HAVE TOLD MY BUSINESS TO OTHER LONG TERM RESIDENTS AND EMPLOYEES AND HAVE THREATENED TO KICK THEM OUT IF THEY GET "CAUGHT" TALKING TO OR ASSOCIATING WITH ME OR ANYONE ELSE IN MY ROOM. I HAVE FILED 3 FORMAL COMPLAINTS IN WHICH I WAS SUPPOSED TO HEAR BACK FROM CORPORATE WITHIN 48 HOURS AND HAVE NOT HEARD BAACK FROM THEM EVEN ONCE...UPDATE:AFTER SEEING MY REVIEW THE RED ROOF INN MANAGERS TURNED THE POWER OFF TO ONLY MY ROOM. NOW DURING THIS HEAT WAVE OUR AIR CONDITIONER IS BROKE AND THEY THREATENED TO FIRE THE MAINTENANCE MAN IF HE TRIED TO FIX IT,ALTHOUGH THERE IS A SEVEN MONTH OLD AND A 67 YEAR OLD LIVING IN THE ROOM....WE HAVE CALLED THE POLICE TO REPORT THIS.This is the most unprofessional establishment I have ever been to.They have horrible customer service and the managers constantly watch you like in an uncomfortable way, besides Larry hes a new manager I have no problems with him. They cancel your reservations and try to charge you high prices that were not the same price as your reservation they refuse to give parking permits if they don't like you they will have your car towed with a valid parking permit and they have security stalk one room instead of securing the premises there have been multiple children trafficked there. There have been multiple times they've given room keys to people that are not registered guests and they have entered into other people's rooms and caused them harm. Some of the maids are cool Olivia is cool and one of the security guards is cool, regardless, I would not recommend staying at this location you would be better off going to Watt Avenue.Also Briage,one of the managers has been caught multiple times taking pictures of my minor step daughter and my friends daughters while they were sitting on the stairs in their bathing suits. I let him know it is illegal for him to take photos of minor children and he told me he can do whatever he wants. I video record all of my interactions with him and he has no excuse for his latest picture because he took a picture of my 14 year old step daughter walking out of the parking lot and then he tried to deny it but me and several other people watched him do it I guess he did not know that we could see him because he tries to hide on the third floor and do it from inconspicuous places and he also does not allow my legally handicapped mother to park her car on the premises she has to park her car off the property and that is also illegal. I really really really hate to leave bad reviews normally if it was a horrific experience I would just not bother leaving a review or share any feed back just to not make the business look bad but unfortunately I have to do it this time because I feel awful that I had to put my family in this terrible place and I just don't want any one else to get fooled by the pictures that Google has for this location as of today 2024. Me, hubby and my 4 kiddos (ages 16months, 6 yr old, 10 yr old, 13 old)came from Reno to visit Sacramento Zoo just for the weekend which we was only going to stay for the night. As always I Google around the area and unfortunately this was the only place that was available and price was actually pretty high for what we received of the kind of room but never though it was gonna be bad just by the looks on Google and the view of the outside building. Receptionist was ok but she looked so overwhelmed and worried but I guess maybe she was dealing with alot already as alot of people where checking in and out. I should have open my eyes when I saw 2nd person requesting a refund and as well some lady saying her door of the room didn't close. We decided to give it a try and bad bad bad mistake, As soon as we open the door the room had a horrible terrible smell, hubby said maybe it was from being close for a long time, walls where all destroyed, 1 drawer broken and with kinda looked like makeup stain on it, sheets looked old and stained, not to mention pillows all bulky and very uncomfortable. Our TV didn't have a controller nor did our room have a phone to call Receptionist. The restroom was just the worse of worse and nasty we didn't even bother to shower. Pictures are below. I really wanted to leave and ask for my money back but hubby was like it's just for the night and we will leave super early. Which we did and honestly I guess he didn't want to go through any arguments since we had our kiddos.The one working light that worked was little lamps on the wall which by the way made the room still look dark, the refrigerator was not cold and once we did got the controller to the TV we where only able to view about 4 or 5 channels, couldn't even connect to the WiFi as supposedly in the internet said building had free Wi-Fi. I couldn't sleep because of people fighting around our room, the 2nd level people where up running jumping not sure why at 2,3 am but whatever it's a hotel anyone can come and go anytime but still have some dignity. People are tired...Anyways bottom line I unfortunately highly don't recommend this place even if it's for couple of hours, the money is definitely not worth it. Ok first of all I would not even rate this place one star but had to just to put in a review. My kids and I was there for three weeks and this our nightmare. The floors were so filthy our feet were black just walking from shower to the bed. Our brown blanket had burn holes in it. Our bed skirts had stains on. They claim to be pet(s) friendly and are welcome but we were kicked out because we had our pets. Thier security never realized the woman sleeping in her car right by our car. The homeless gsthered around the outside even taking one of the motel beds over to the bushes and remained there. The coffee machine was down more then it was working. Their vending machine had old chocolate. They had police there every night, the manager loved to call them out. He also kicked a man out would not let him in his room to get belongings and money. People were loosing stuff from their rooms all the time. The room service doesn't give towles or will say no or claim they are all out and they really lied alot. When the room service did come in they didnt even service the room theey didnt leave shampoo, soap, towls, toliet paper never mopped the floors. Service also went into room without permission and lied they didnt. The room service supervisor SHE was very rude and would demand and had no respect for us. They had an elderly man that had a filthy room a shopping cart sitting inside the room. He had big bottles of vodka outside his room and you walk by his room he had his door open he is sitting his boxers and shirt drinking he was there the whole time we were there. Now they had that in plane site. I made a courtesy reservation with the the very nice young girl the day before our checkout and the morning went to pay and the manager had blocked the stay without even telling my young children and I about the cancellation. He acknowledged that we had reserved the room we had been staying in and that they are not honoring the commitment they made to us. When demanding ro see the general manager he would not even show his face stayed inside the back room wispering with his worker at the desk. When going to get the coffee the general manager came out the side door seen us and quickly turn his coward butt around as fast he could. They said call corporate so i did. They were no help and they did not in anyway help "THE CUSTOMER" So if corpotate is condoning all of this then it is very possible the all of Red Roof Inn has these very same problems.
