This is a Corporate owned facility supposedly a model for new Fairfield Inn suites. It is noticably different from other Fairfield Inn & Suites. ( We have stayed at more than 30 different Fairfield Inn suites in the previous 6 months).I found it to be warm & inviting & yet in the end if my 5 day stay I was devastated & am now even more disappointed. I was parked in the very first parking spot nearest the front door/entrance. This is a spot reserved for disabled as I am here with a person in a wheelchair. I pulled in at just before 9:00 am. & I was very surprised that when we started to leave at noon I returned to find the immaculately cleaned & organized van that had contained a wheelchair, tools, luggage every stitch of clothing, jackets, boots, shoes 2 laptop computers, cell phones, organizer containing memory chips & SD cards, vitamin's, medications, toiletries had all been taken ! The scoundrels also removed the entire center console & "doghouse" area of the van as well. This contained both of our personal information, insurance, vehicle service records, first aid kits, cell booster, and stereo but many irreplaceable items. How could I possibly write a totally positive review after having this occur ? I have waited for approximately four months to see how things unfolded. At the time I was obviously somewhat upset but with my training & life experiences,I tried to remain as calm as possible & began to document as much as possible but also realizing that We were running late & needed to make it a priority to leave as soon as possible. I firstly asked the lady at the front desk to immediately call 911 and ask for a report to be taken and to explain to the person on the phone what had transpired.I also asked for the Manager whom met with me very briefly. I asked about things such as security & video cameras etc For him to interview any employees that could have witnessed what occurred and for him too please file an incident report with Marriott and to follow up with the authorities as well. I basically was reminded of the sign posted near the entrance that clearly stated the hotel had no responsibility for loss due to theft.I explained our situation to him and after requesting his business card. I asked him to please keep me informed & to forward the police report & incident report number to me. He did agree to provide this & assured me he would follow up. I have since waited more than four weeks without hearing anything at all. I am very disappointed at his lack of follow up. I plan to return to this location to do a more thorough investigation and to follow up with the proper local authorities. I have been providing live in support services & Care for the disabled person that I am with since 2002. We don't have coverage that will cover any if these devastating losses. We are currently at another hotel. I found many great benefits & positives to review while I visited this location. It is our responsibility as good citizens to look out for vulnerable people, including any elderly or disabled individuals regardless of their race, sex, nationality or how they became disabled. It should not be a bad or scarey thing to grow older ! Americans enjoy freedom to travel about at any time without hindrance & to do so whenever. The safety and security of these rights is paramount to the very survival of these long cherished rights. A disabled person may lack the resources or abilities to recover. Please support our efforts by reading our next reviews. Together we can all make a difference one small...
Read moreI believe majority of people who experience staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Rancho Cordova are going to love their accomodations and stay! It has a great location, just right off the freeway, you cannot miss it. The outer exterior is very clean and nice. I felt very secure and safe being at their hotel. We wish we would have remembered to bring our swimsuits, as my husband and I would have loved to use the jacuzzi. We will remember next time! The customer service was TOPS! I am huge on customer service and they ranked high right up there with the best! From the check-in staff to the breakfast service staff. They all had warm and genuine smiles. Not too mention, the professionalism that goes right along with that, EXCELLENT! We had approximately 40-50 of us that used their accomodations and I heard nothing but positive feedback from my co-workers! This will always be our place of choice whenever we travel to Sacramento for sure! Due to my schedule, I needed to do an early check-in and their staff was extremely accomodating and it made it non stressful on me and my family. I was thankful that they had Tylenol on hand in their mini store area, because prior to arriving, my husband had a bad headache. After being able to purchase a small packet of Tylenol, he felt so much better, THANK YOU, for thinking of even the small details of our stay! Our breakfast was wonderful! I loved that their oatmeal was quality, amongst the rest of the different choices of foods that most were quality of choice.....loved it! It was nice to be greeted by the kitchen staff member with a smile first thing in the morning as well. Oh, we loved the afternoon/evening ordeurves! You definitely know how to spoil your customer's overall!! I recommend this hotel to all, as it is also close to all variety of shopping both from small retailer to huge retailer, restaurants, and banks. You will be remissed by not trying out this hotel. The price was very satisfactory for all you get in your stay. Thank you for excellent customer service you all provided as well!! We will definitely be back every time per my...
Read moreLet me tell you a short and sad story - a couple who pre-booked three nights at the hotel find themselves on a delayed flight—a 16-hours flight with almost 10 hours delay. Yes, situations such as this one can and will happen. We have no control over them .. at least we can take comfort in having booked a hotel in advance so that we can arrive and rest after a very long journey. So apparently, in Fairfield Inn & Suites Rancho Cordova case, don't count on it. This hotel, a disrespectful place, allowed himself to cancel our accommodation on his own even though we paid in advance for three nights. It turns out that according to the place's policy, if you did not check in on the first day of the stay, then you will be charged on all days, and your booking will be canceled. If so, try to imagine what happened to us as a couple who arrived at the hotel at 10 pm and found that he had no room, and charged for above $ 600. At least in this situation, you would expect them to be a little empathetic for you, wouldn't you? So no. The farewell at the hotel reception was impatient, unpleasant and every time we asked to speak to the manager she asked us to wait so she could check-in other guests at the hotel. So for the third time we asked to talk to a manager who would return our money or check us in, the receptionist threatened to call the police. To be honest, after a conversation with the manager we made a re-order but the mental anguish did not end here. Our entier stay the receptionist was unpleasant, ignored us, she did not agree us to sit in the hotel lobby. This was a very bad and unpleasant experience. I strongly do not recommend staying at this hotel. There are quite a few good hotels near by and there is no reason for a guest to receive such disgraceful treatment. Just to clarify and be fair, the rooms are great, the pool is great, but the buttom line, is the worst experience I...
