I have never had such a problem exchanging a product for store credit. I had the box it came in and the credit card I used to buy it because I didn't have my receipt. Customer service Associate Carter at the front counter was extremely unprofessional/rude and did not accept the exchange because it was missing the double AA batteries for the wireless gamecube Switch controller. He stated to me "what are you up to man?" I simply wanted to exchange and buy a even more expensive controller for $79.
I offered to buy batteries to complete it. But he still didn't want to accept it; stating that "the batteries were part of the product." Which logically does not make sense.
Luckily, another Manager (as I learned Carter was a Manager) helped me out and told me it was completely okay and I purchased batteries (better batteries than what the controller came with).
Lastly, for Carter being a Manager, he did not know how to look up a receipt by using a credit card.
I really suggest that this gentleman receive more training in customer service and the technical know how to complete processes such as looking receipts in a computer.
This experience was very uncomfortable and unpleasant for me. I hope he can improve how he is with customers in the near...

When ring up one game was $17 and which the employee say they didn’t update the sticker price on one of the game in the store since during March the price has change to $17 and they will not honor the sticker price for me. Ask to speak to the manager but the guy say that the manager did not work today. During this time one of the Employee was buying stuff from a person who came in to trade games which GameStop did not accept. I’m not even sure if GameStop policy allow their staff to buy people stuff during their working hours for their own personal gains…GameStop need to look into this two guy that work there today, also the the guy ringing me up doesn’t even know about the 4 for 20 deal going on when it’s posting all over there store??? Such bad service avoid...

I ordered a PS4 pro (Glacier White cause I'm spiffy) from them on 12/02/20. I paid for 2 day expedited shipping.
Today, over 7 days later, I received a Glacier White PS4..... Controller. No Console... The box size would have fit the console, but only a new controller was present.
I have tried calling the company for days (Previously about delay in shipping) and never got through. "All associates are busy". I called customer support and have been told nothing can be handled until I return the controller.
So in summation, a week after paying for expedited shipping on a console, I have no console and am being told the whole process could take as much as 10 business days to be "investigated". I will update on whether or not I even manage to get a...
