Stay away from Mattress Firm and Purple Mattress, especially if you have children.
My wife and I purchased a mattress from them and they came up with every excuse not to honor the warranty. They found a stain and said because of that they would not replace the mattress, mind you the reason we called is the sides are sagging and you can feel the coils coming through the gel on the sides. This appears to be a common problem if you check out Purple Mattress Reviews on Facebook and neither Mattress Firm or Purple Mattress seem interested in addressing the concerns of their customers.
Purple's warranty reads: This warranty shall not apply if Purple determines in its reasonable discretion that the mattress or foundation had been damaged, abused, neglected; it shall be reasonable without limitation to make such determination if the following are present: tears, stains, odors, unsanitary conditions, folds, footprints, burns, cuts or signs of jumping on the bed, rodents, insect damage or other infestation, damage from liquids or gels or blood or bodily fluids or other fluids or damage from weather or sun exposure. So in short we are going to look for any excuse not to honor our warranty.
Mattress Firms customer service is a joke also. I had to tell their automated service that i wanted to buy a bed before it would actually transfer me to a person. From there we were able to finally set up a time to have their investigator come out to our home to inspect the condition of our bed. The only thing he was concerned about though was finding a reason not honor the warranty instead of trying to help us. We had to pay Mattress Firm $80.00 for that service and in response were told how invaluable we are as customers but if we would like to refer someone we will get 20% off our next purchase. Yeah right. At the very least I hope this review costs you all exponentially more than the $3500 it would have cost you in credit to replace...

The goal is to put them together as 1 bed on adjustable frames to have independently adjustable beds for my husband and I. 1 mattress was on back order and would be delivered to the warehouse and the other delivered in store. No big deal as we still had to assemble the new frames and clear out the old bed. We got a call saying the other mattress was sent to the warehouse instead of the store by mistake. For the inconvenience the mattresses would be delivered to the house for free. Ok so far so good. Mistakes happen and they are making up for it. Not worth getting upset over. Come today for the mattresses to be delivered, they show up on time, but only have 1 mattress. The driver is arguing with me saying I only have 1 mattress and the sales person over charged me for a second. I show him my receipt and tell him again I ordered 2 mattresses. He said the store made a mistake and only set 1 for delivery. I call the store and talk to Patrick. Now Patrick is just filling in at the store for someone who was sick. Apparently as a full in he can do nothing about nothing. He tells me the salesman made a mistake. He tells me it is too late to get the other mattress on the truck for tomorrow’s delivery because the deliveries are set and the trucks are full. So there is nothing that can be done. So I have to be inconvenienced 2 days to try to get what I ordered and paid for. No one else can be inconvenienced, much less the store that has already gotten over $3,000 for their merchandise. There is no manager anywhere I can talk to. I have to call tomorrow to talk to anyone who can do anything about this, but by then the trucks are all dispatched and still won’t get my mattress here any sooner. So once again, the customer is the one who gets shafted while the corporation collects...
Read moreI wouldn’t come back to this mattress firm, it's very unprofessional here. I was helped by Jayne & I was financing for a $3000 mattress that I was told was in stock. Soon after running my credit and almost making a downpayment of $1800 finalizing the purchase, the mattress was suddenly “unavailable” and no longer purchasable. She showed me another mattress similar to the original mattress I wanted to purchase & was told it was “only a few hundred more” only for that mattress to total out to $4000. I feel I was in a bait and switch position because despite the transaction not being finalized my credit was already ran and I had already gotten approved. I felt I was stuck and had to purchase the new mattress similar to the original due to my credit being ran already. Soon after, when finalizing that transaction and doing paperwork she wasn’t knowledgeable at all about my interest rates and what I’d be paying, she was not informative and just laughed about how she didn’t know what my rates would be. Not only this, but when she was asking for my personal information she was not discreet about my SSN despite other customers being next to us, yet the second worker was very discreet about her clients SSN. Overall I think it’s just very unprofessional here and I wouldn’t come back. I am satisfied with my mattress, but the overall experience of purchasing the mattress was just ridiculous & I will most definitely not come back here. The delivery workers were very punctual and nice I have no complaints on that end & my mattress is great as well. My only complaint is that this location was very unprofessional overall.
