This hotel was so disgusting!! The room smelled and was so outdated. We checked-in late at night. North Carolina is our halfway point from Florida to NJ. I booked this hotel over the phone the same day and requested a rollaway bed. When I checked in and asked if the rollaway bed was in the room. The lady at check-in responded by saying that she forgot and she'll check to see if we have one. Then she asked a lady in the back room if she was "willing" to bring the rollaway bed to our room. Big difference in "having one" and "willing to bring" one!! When we got in the room, it smelled like, what I would imagine, a cheap motel room would smell like. But the kids and I were so exhausted and it was already 11:30pm so we sucked it up and try to settle in to our room. When we felt the pillows, they were as hard as a rock! All 4 pillows on each bed. My daughter called housekeeping and they said "it the ONLY pillows the hotel has"...I then called and kindly requested softer pillows and she told me that she was too busy to look for softer pillows and if I wanted other pillows, I needed to go to the front desk and she would give me the room key for another room so that I could get the pillows myself!! We were so desperate for softer pillows and so exhausted that my niece and my daughter went down to the lobby in their pjs!! In the meantime, the rollaway bed arrived and not only was their a red stain on the top sheet but the comforter smelled so bad that my 4 yr old almost threw up when he smelled it. So much for the rollaway bed!! 15 min later my niece and daughter came up with 4 soft pillows and we immediately went to sleep. We planned on staying there for breakfast, but I could not get out of this place fast enough!! We couldn't even shower because the shower curtain was dirty and all the paint and finish from the tub was all peeled off. Upon check-out I mentioned to the lady at the front desk what had happened and she apologized and said that she would have her manager call me ASAP. It's now 3 days later and I even put in a call to the manager yesterday and left her a detailed message and still no call back! What a disgrace that this place calls themselves a Marriott!!! Btw..I forgot to mention that the tv was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis hotel had a nice appearance and the staff was very friendly and welcoming and always there to help. Unfortunately the room that I initially stayed in had bugs everywhere on the floor and in the bathroom. To keep things short, I moved 3 different rooms before I decided to call it quits as each one of them had bugs in it. 2 rooms on the bottom floor had bugs in the bathroom and the living area. The second floor room also had a roach in the bathroom. Despite killing them each time and going to work and coming back or even waking up the next day, I always found the bugs to be replenished. I was offered a free breakfast as compensation but I was scheduled to stay here for a month so decided to move to the DoubleTree.
I informed staff everytime and they decided to get the last toom to be sprayed by the exterminator. The manager told me this but by that time I decide too book another hotel.
Don't get me wrong though, the staff is friendly and the area is nice and affordable. The food was expensive and no breakfast was included. The wifi was a little slow but coverage was good. The staff was always willing to help and thanked me for my Military Service but I hope that they get the bug situation under control. I've done field exercises before so bugs don't really faze me but at a hotel they shouldn't be present in the mannerism that they were.
Friendly staff Decent Wifi Expensive food Good parking during the day Close by all of the necessities Nice accomodations such as gym, pool Not too crowded Elevator is a little sketchy 𤣠Rooms had trash left behind tables...

Firstly, I was disappointed to find no prior notice regarding the pool being out of service for the remainder of the year, which was a primary reason for choosing your hotel. Additionally, the absence of a functioning Jacuzzi was another letdown.
Moreover, I noticed that none of the beds in the rooms had proper headboards; instead, there were only hard pillows, which was uncomfortable. The queen beds were actually full-size, and some rooms even had spider issues.
While I personally found the front desk staff to be adequate, my family members encountered unprofessional service that left much to be desired. I was also surprised by the lack of complimentary coffee, and the delayed opening of Starbucks was inconvenient.
Given the high rates charged by your hotel compared to others in the area, which offer far superior amenities, I feel compelled to suggest that potential guests consider those alternatives instead.
Regrettably, I did not receive any compensation for the numerous issues we faced, which was disheartening. My children were particularly upset due to the lack of pool access, and it is unfortunate that the events happening in town left us with no other hotel options.
As a loyal Marriott customer, I am deeply disappointed by this experience and am left questioning my continued patronage. It is unacceptable that no effort was made to address our concerns and...
