When we arrived there was no hostess in site to even give us a seat. The hostess showed up after five mins and asked how many, I told her how many were in my party. She then asked if they were all here, as if that really mattered the place was not even half full! Barely 1/3 full. We got our table the waitress took our drink order but that took over 20 mins to get to us. I am sure this place is severely understaffed and it showed! Finally after our drinks showed up we had more than enough time to place our order only to find out, they ran out of soup and it was not coming back for a while. They were still prepping salads even though it was close to lunch time, and they were out of broccoli. We had to change our orders. We placed an order for our child which took 45 mins to come out. We sat there for over an hour before we even got our food. And in between this time the customers were dying down so there was even less of a crowd. I literally saw only six parties at the restaurant. The food finally came out over an hour and IT WAS COLD! The butter on my pancakes did not even melt! All our food was cold! Oh and then when we asked for a basket of biscuits and cornbread they could not find any plates. We were told we could not find any plates that’s why we were given napkins! I am so livid with this Cracker Barrel! So after the waitress carried away our cold food after I declined to have it reheated in a microwave, the waitress kindly took it off the check. Which was nice of her to do! Mind you I do not feel any hatred towards the server she was doing what she could with the limited staff they had. But when I went to go pay the cashier asked if everything was good? I told her “no, the food was cold”. The cashier asked if I wanted to speak to a manager? I said, yes! Sure why not? So the cashier called for a manager over the radio, and the only thing said over the radio was “ it’s about the food” and “113” which I am assuming was our table. Mean while another poor customer was paying and was asked the same question who was standing next to me, complained that her biscuits were cold and her eggs were burnt! I looked back at my cashier and she had a look on her face like! Yeah, I know our food is bad. So again waited another five mins for a manager to come out and talk to me, finally she did! Only to hold her hand out and receive the ticket from the cashier and did not ask me a thing about my experience or what could have they done better? Not even a sorry for the bad experience! That. That person, I would not call her a manager, because she sure did not act like one just said “have a nice day” and walked off! I was so off put by her piss poor attitude, that I was like “ oh hell no”! Moral of the story DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE, save your time and money and go somewhere else! That place doesn’t care about its customers one bit and it shows. I only hope that corporate reads this and really investigates what is wrong with that manager and has her go back through training or busing tables again! But Cracker Barrel has lost business and I will spread my story about it because negativity spreads faster than positivity. And to that manager! “Now you have...
Read more7/15/25. Call in order for pick up at the restaurant. Receipt indicated that the order had been taken correctly, and given to the kitchen. Order was packed with items missing, again. Had to wait with food getting cold while they corrected this most recent screwup. Scrambled eggs had the texture of rubber. “Fried hard” eggs were soft and liquid. Portions were much smaller than you get when you eat in the restaurant; half piece of bacon in the sampler. Still no quality control or supervision in the kitchen for takeout orders.
10/15/23. Ordered 2 breakfasts to go. Got country ham instead of requested sugar ham on one. Requested cheese in scrambled eggs on one, it came on both. Asked to get some extra biscuits, and they said they're out of biscuits. One breakfast came with biscuits and gravy, and they only provided about 1 TBSP of gravy.
8/12/23. Ordered breakfast to go. One item missing. Tried to call. Clerk on the phone stands in a noisy area, and all they say is they can't hear. Incompetent, indifferent and unsupervised. Absolutely no concern for customer service. 1/5/23. Take-out order. Order was 20-min late. Failed to provide requested utensils. Grits were hard and stuff, like they’d been sitting in their to-go containers for an extended time. Health inspector was reportedly on site. Cashier could not get an updated order status from the kitchen staff. Men’s room floor wet from some kind of link. One urinal out of order and taped off. Paper towel cabinet door swinging open posing a head/eye level hazard.
9/19/22. Hash brown casserole not listed on the online menu. Tried to call to get clarification, but nobody answered. Drove to the restaurant. Called while I was in the restaurant; you could hear the phone ringing and ringing back in the kitchen, but nobody ever answered. had to wait five minutes for somebody qualified to take a “to go” order to come up...
Read more*edit: HORRIBLE. Thought I would try this cracker barrel 1 more time thinking it couldn't very worse. But it got WAY worse. I called at exactly 7:31pm and this store closes at 9pm per Google. They had no pot pie and only 1 kind of chicken. Got to the store and they also had NO dumplings. The manager said I called in too close to close and they gave the dumplings to someone in the restaurant. Then much later my order came out with the wrong sides. Mashed potatoes instead of green beans. They then debated with me about it even though the receipt clearly said I had green beans. The attitude of the manager (or employee) with the dark hair was beyond terrible and she blamed us for everything instead of just making it right. And why do I have to plead my case to get the sides I ordered. I didn't order even close to close and it shouldn't matter anyway. Don't tell me how I did something wrong. Don't tell me i ordered too late at 7:31. Don't argue with me when you screwed up my sides. Don't give away the items I ordered that you said you had. And please carry the items you say you have on your menu - at least some of them. This store is always out of everything. I go to cracker barrel all over the country because I travel a lot but this is by FAR the worst of any! Mistakes happen but learn how to treat your customers. RUDE Oh and the green beans I ended up getting looked like they put them on the floor, stepped on them and then scooped them into the container. Not edible for sure.
Original review: Forgot the carrots, forgot the butter, took way longer than they said, fish was dry, veggies were cold. Disappointing. If you order from here, plan to pay for things you won't get and wait a long time for food that...
