I'm glad many patrons enjoy this location. My family's experience here was mostly terrible. The wait to get seated was decent at 40-45 minutes. The rest got progressively worst. We received one salad out of four until our meal arrived; three steaks were very good but the fourth was cold and beef jerky consistency (the worst prime rib steak ever). We all tried it and agreed it was not something a restaurant should be serving. Our waiter, Brandon is a good guy and was doing his best. He was spread too thin in serving so many customers that he could not give any quality service to anyone. One table across from us had four adults that ended up just walking away after over one hour of being seated and only had one glass of water to share amongst themselves. There order was never taken. Our food came without condiments or offerings. Since Brandon was so busy, I had to fetch our steak sauce and other condiments. It took over 30 minutes to be asked if everything is okay or if we needed anything. At this point, we already know that there is no way for anything we requested to be delivered in a timely manner so we respectfully declined. We spoke to the manager to adjust our bill and she was apologetic about the one steak. She offered us desert instead and when we accepted, she never came back. We decided after twenty minutes of waiting to pay our bill and depart instead. In summary, last night in particular, Texas Steakhouse and Catering had good intended crew but their service was a failure. Their food was really good except for the prime rib. The loaded baked potato was also very good but could have been better if served with additional butter and sour cream. The house and Caesar salad was equally good. As for an overall experience, there are far better choices out there.

This was my first visit here. It will also, most likely, be my last. It's a Thursday. Drink menu says "Thurs, $3.50 bottles domestic beer" We ask which beers are on special for $3.50 Thursday. She says she has to check what they have. Comes back and says they ONLY have Michelob light. (Yuck but Ok.) Later, we get the bill. $5.75. why? "Oh that was draft, not bottled." But we had specifically asked for the special. We ordered steak, one "as rare as you're allowed to cook it" and one medium rare. We got one medium, one well done. I watch, and as we're waiting....three tables (that I can see) complains about their steak being over cooked and they have a new steak brought to them. We didn't bother complaining (but I also didn't eat mine. I also found mine to be very tough and grisly) Our waitress seemed to be spread too thin...having a lot to take care of. I think she was doing her best One more thing; what is with the "super-skinny-only" booth size? We measured. There was 15.5 inches clearance on both sides, between the back of the booth and the table edge. I'm only 151 lbs and I could barely fit. My boobs were resting on the table, the table was so close I can't believe the average diner could comfortably sit here. This wasn't the worst meal I've ever had, it's just disappointing when you ask for the daily special and you don't get it and when you specifically ask for your meat to be cooked a certain way at a steakhouse and you don't get it done right. Seated at a table (or booth with more clearance - some had tons of room), not caring about drink specials and if you like your meat over-done, then you'll be just fine. Probably just an off-day. Everything was fine, otherwise.

100% would not recommend to anyone looking for a good meal. Husband and I stopped in for dinner, but should have gone a block further and ate at the Outback. Our servers name was Justin (per the receipt). He didn’t seem to know what grenadine was and he also didn’t know the beer menu. Our service was absolutely terrible, and although I hate to assume, I don’t think that it was by mistake that he was terrible...because it never got better. He never cleared a single dish or empty glass from our table the entire meal, start to finish. While I was still eating my less than desirable steak and my husband was finishing his beer after chewing through his brisket that looked like cooked leather with BBQ sauce on it, the server asked if we wanted our check, so instead of staying for a few drinks after dinner like planned, we accepted the offer for our check. Typically a 25-30% tipper, it pained me to even leave 10%. the kicker?...While still sitting at our table the server grabbed the merchant copy showing our tip, and walked away...again not taking any of the dishes with him. Prices are high for the extremely low quality of food. I don’t mind a well marbled steak, however what I got was not even close. Pictures provided.

I was in Rocky Mount for a volleyball tournament and decided to dine here with some other families. When we arrived, we were told that it would be a 20 min wait for our party of 8. That’s understandable. They were relatively busy. About 30 mins later we were seated and another 10 minutes went by before we had ordered our drinks. Another 15 before our table got our drinks and received the rolls. We had 2 waitresses serve us in the beginning but we didn’t see them much after that. I believe that one was in training and that’s the only reason I am giving another star. I ordered the filet mingon medium rare because the price was very reasonable. Another person at my table also got the filet. We were rarely checked on and refills/drinks took 5-10 minutes to be brought u to I the table. It took about 30 minutes for our three side salads and another 20/30 minutes for the entrees. I ordered the house salad with Jalapeño ranch. The ranch was so thin it wouldn’t even stick to the salad. I am assuming it was watered down. When I received my steak, I was thoroughly disappointed. It did not even look remotely like a filet and was insanely overcooked. I brought this to the attention of the waitress because it looked so bad. She agreed that it was not cooked to medium rare and she sent either a manager or cook to our table. I asked if it was even a filet because it surely didn’t look like it and the person stated that it definitely was and they were just cut. (I am not sure what freshly cutting the meat had to do with any of this) I worked at a steakhouse for over 2 years (in food service industry for 6 yrs) and know what a filet looks like and how it should taste. This cut of meat looked and tasted like a $.99/lb chuck eye that you would buy at the piggly wiggly. It was stringy, tough, and so thin. At first I thought that they misheard me and gave me a medium well filet that they had to butterfly. Upon further inspection, there was absolutely no indication that the meat was butterflied. The other person who ordered the filet was also disappointed and thought that it was not a filet, but just went with it since the steak was their requested temperature. I also decided to get fries which I normally do not eat. The portion was pretty small compared to what I have seen at similar restaurants. The only compensation for my terrible “filet” was an additional order of cold loaded fries. I had already eaten the fries that were with my steak so there was no need for this. I decided to try some of the bacon from the fries and it was so salty I almost couldn’t eat it. I took it with me out of pity but threw it away as soon as I got to the hotel. I had to hand my plate to the waitress when I was finished and I also had to hand her my card to pay. She did not make the effort to pick them up. I thought that it was common knowledge in the food service industry that the waitstaff know to take the plates for the patron when they are clearly finished. It also took seemingly forever to receive our bills and our cards back. The other person in our party that also ordered the filet was charged for a sirloin, confirming our suspicions that we were given the wrong cut of meat. It took over 2.5 hours for our party of 8 to eat and leave. We left as soon as we received our cards back. I do not think that I will return to this establishment when we return for tournaments in the future. I also want to mention that there was not a true vegetarian entree option. The vegetarian in our party had to order a salad and request the chicken on the side. They were still charged for the chicken that would...

I recently dined in w/some friends & it was completely a waste of time for us. Had we gone anywhere else it would’ve only been about 45 mins total to be seated, waited on & fed. However that wasn’t the case here. Their staff is so short handed that there was not a host to be found, people looked out direction and didn’t even budge in asking if we needed to be seated. Finally after 30+ mins we were finally sat. From the looks of we had gotten there at a not so busy time, about 4-5 tables at the time including us. Well we assumed once we were seated it would’ve gotten better. No it did not. After being sat the server came & took our drink order however it took 15 mins for our drinks. We didn’t see our server for another 20/30 mins so we could order. Once we did order it took 40 mins to received our food. The group started contemplating on just walking out & going elsewhere even after placing our order. It was so time consuming to eat here that we had to reschedule a few things just to accommodate us eating. The service & hospitality was so horrible that we decided to hurry & eat even though 2/4 meals were wrong & leave. We actually love this restaurant franchise however this particular location needs to do a lot better if they wanna continue to stay open this year. You guys need to do some major hiring so it’ll run a lot smoother & efficiently. I understand completely if you’re understaffed however that’s the mangers problem if they’re not hiring or accepting applications of people who are motivated to work & want to be there. They also need to find or checkin w/the cook and make sure he knows the differences in how to cook steak. Medium rare should not be well done. If anything just hire another cook to add to his expertise or train him a lil bit more & you’d have no issue. We would love to see yall thrive but you guys have to hire more servers even if one of those servers host part time until you hire a person for that...
