I chose to come to this hotel with my children as we were staying in the area for a family reunion & thought we would try Hyatt. We usually stay with other brand hotels but, since this one was one of the newer ones in the area, we figured we'd give it a try. Upon check in all we had time to do was place our luggage and leave to meet up with family. Usually I check everything in the room when staying at any hotel as I used to work for a 4-diamond rated resort cleaning & inspecting rooms. When we got back to the room that night I did a thorough check of the room and beds. We had a double bed room with a sofa bed in it. One of the beds looked clean the other had hair in the bed, what looked makeup on one pillow and what looked like blood on the mattress near the head of the bed (I check for bed bugs). Once I pulled out the sofa bed, it too had a lot of hair on it along with balled up used tissues. I called down to the front desk they came up took pictures and brought new sheets and pillowcases I asked about the mattress and after checking with a supervisor they finally moved us to another room. After moving to the other room I checked those beds. One of the queen beds had hair in it and a stain that looked like bodily fluid in the middle of the sheet. The sofa bed also already had a sheet on it along with another folded up sheet (not sure if that's the standard for them as most hotels leave sofa beds without bedding until requested after check in). I called down to the front desk again and was given an attitude from from the desk worker answering "yes miss". I explained the situation and told them I have new sheets from the last room so I'll change the beds but wanted to let them know. I was then asked "well what do you want us to do, move your room again?" I said, "I don't necessarily want you guys to do all that, I just wanted to make you guys aware." At this time it was past 11:00 pm they said they would send someone up. Two staff members came up to look at the bed and take pictures, one I'm guessing from housekeeping & the other was the front desk worker. After they looked at it and took pictures I was told "well we can't move you to another room" I then told them "I'm not looking to be moved to another room I just wanted to make you guys aware that the bed was dirty so you could let your staff know because I know the cleaning and inspection process and sometimes staff will cut corners" the front desk worker then gave me more attitude and replied "well we have them triple inspect our rooms." I told her "that may be, but I know they do not undo the beds to check them." If so, then why would they be up there taking pictures for this problem a second time? The other staff member cut her off before she could get another sentence out and said they would change the sheet. I told them they didn't have to as I could do it myself but they insisted. They then proceeded to take off the comforter, duvet and top sheet (flat sheet) that lays on the bottom sheet together. They changed the bottom sheet then proceeded to try and place the same top sheet that was on the dirty sheet back on the bed I stopped them & told them I'd make my own bed and they could leave. We stayed that night as it was really late and I have 2 small children that needed to go to bed. The next morning we had to get to our family reunion so we had to leave in the morning & come back for our things later. While we were gone a family member kindly booked us another hotel room in the area so we wouldn't have to go back to that hotel or drive 2 1/2 hours back home early because that was what I was debating on doing at that point. We got back to the hotel got our stuff & checked out early. Upon check out I was told "you know we'll still be charging for the night right?" So we left very unsatisfied with our stay, the cleanliness and the staff and will never be coming back or trying another Hyatt...

Read moreMy family and I (four of us total) were visiting Sacramento on family business and booked a room here and we were assigned to a first floor room that was marked for the handicapped (none of us are handicapped). We didn’t have any handicapped but I suppose there were no available rooms left because we were there during school/university graduations and everywhere was booked.
The exterior and front of the hotel seemed pretty brand new, perhaps considerably renovated and clean. Fresh paved parking lots and paint, a fairly modern style building and interior decor. Our room was pretty nice and had a fair bit of accommodations such as a fairly decently sized kitchen including a sink, stove top, fridge, microwave, and plenty of cupboards with miscellaneous kitchenware. The arrangement was set up pretty similarly to a small apartment with a few sofas and a big TV in the “living room”, then a “master bedroom” with a large bed for two and then a bathroom with a sliding door. The overall place on the surface seemed clean and nice.
Giving the benefit of the doubt of our timing and limited vacancies that resulted in staying in a 2-person handicap room, two of us slept in the master bedroom while the remaining two slept on the sofa bed in the living room (and one of them was me). This is kinda where things started going downhill.
The sofa bed needed a sheet because the mattress was pilling and would leave bits of white fluff on our clothes and we could not locate any dedicated sheets for it and so we took one of the sheets from the master bedroom bed to use as a bedsheet. The pillows, while functional, were far from comfortable because the filling would just give out and not support the neck much and would be noisy with a plastic crunch. My memory is kind of vague while typing this review but I don’t think we had enough pillows.
The bathroom, while it had pretty much the basic accommodations, lacked privacy. The sliding door works for the most part but while the door itself had the hardware installed to lock, did not have anywhere to latch onto because it just closes on a solid wall, so it just freely slides open and close. Additionally there was a large gap on the opposite end of the door so anyone can peek in the bathroom but also hear all the noise and smells. The shower itself is the handicap style (it IS a handicap room after all) where the shower floor is part of the entire bathroom floor, however the shower is located next to the toilet and this feels unclean.
As for service the front were kind and young people but room service seemed pretty nonexistent. From experiences with other hotels there is usually a room cleaning service but there was none of that here and so we had to maintain that ourselves. It’s not that we can’t conduct basic household hygiene but the lack of daily door to door room cleaning service that you see in most hotels was unexpected especially for a place that’s visually as nice as this. We were here for roughly a week under these conditions.
This hotel will accommodate most of your needs, being a quiet place to stay with air conditioning, a bed, shower, toilet, it’s basically a outfitted apartment, however there will be finer details that may affect your stay and lack of door to...
