Visited this location as I always do whenev I'm in the Sac area (living ~60 miles out) and this time, they fell FAR short of the mark. I always get the much coveted cheese curds for the drive home and some chicken legs for the kids (can't find cheese curds even remotely close to home). I was saddened when I bit into ALMOST EVERY cheese curd there was no cheese in them-- it was just crust & oil 😿 I think there were MAYBE 3-4 curds in there that had the melty cheese like it should and usually always does. Not the end of the world, just very disappointing that they actually thought I wouldn't notice and packaged the rogue empty curds to sell to me. Like, don't rush the deepfry process with these things! I don't mind parking out front of the establishment to wait for them! I mean, y'all had me wait (as usual, no biggy) anyways, so why the heck you give me this garbage?! One of 2 things took place: 1) they flash fried them too hot & fast (which causes to crust to rupture, thereby spilling the melted cheese out) or 2) they actually gave them to me purposely because they were too lazy to make some fresh. I wish I could give 0 stars. Absolutely TERRIBLE food and customer service. Has definitely changed over time. Food there is overpriced, greasy, small portions, and either burnt food, or not cooked all the way. They are also not very friendly at all. I wish I would have waited in the line for in-n-out instead of coming here. No wonder there was only one car in their drive-thru. I ordered from the A&W menu, and got the bacon cheeseburger meal. It looks like a kids meal.. bacon was burnt so bad on the outside, and not cooked it the middle.. the size of the fries is extremely small, and most of them were cold to begin with. If I could, I would give this fine establishment zero stars. Everytime we come here the diningroom is filthy. I don't want to imagine what the kitchen looks like. Picture does not show the diningroom stickiness. Picture is to show everyone waiting on this super busy Tuesday 8pm evening. Service is nothing but fast or courteous. Ordered Papa combos and it took a quick 27 minutes to get order, To be short a burger to boot.
