Mattress Firm Sahuarita — Hotel in Sahuarita

I purchased a Serta iSeries 100 Hybrid from this store and from what I found out later, the gentleman who waited on me was the manager of another store in Tucson. He was a good salesman and very courteous. However once the mattress was delivered and the plastic ripped off there was an overwhelming toxic chemical smell. I am extremely sensitive to chemicals. I immediately called the store and was told this smell was off-gassing and would just take a couple of days to air out. Why didn't someone tell me this BEFORE I bought this mattress? That is important information. I had all of my windows open and a fan blowing across the mattress to get the scent to the window where there was another fan sucking the smell out. Meanwhile I just bought a new mattress and had to sleep on the couch - ridiculous! I went to the store on day 4 to return it. My salesman was not there, instead there was a tall obese man. When I said I was having problems with the mattress he immediately starting lying and saying that every mattress in his store had memory foam as a tactic to deter me. When I said "You're lying" he kept saying the same thing "every mattress in the store has memory foam" and I kept saying you're lying and then he finally rested his hand on a pillow top mattress and said "well this one isn't memory foam". That was also a lie, there are many mattresses in that store that are not memory foam. I was so mad that this utter A$$ was lying that I left the store. They say that you have a 120 night sleep trial and that If it’s not the perfect fit, they'll happily pick it up and pair you with a new one. I went to the Mattress Firm store in Green Valley/Sahuarita with my friend who was also looking for a new mattress and had been so impressed with the friendliness of Daniel. We both were greeted by all the employees and they got Daniel for us. He was showed me all of the hybrid mattresses and encouraged me to lay down in the position that I sleep in. While he finished the sale with my friend, I did try many of the mattresses and found that I liked the Serta the best. I had been planning on a Tempra Pedic but found the mattress edge too soft. Because I sit a lot on the edge of the bed I felt unsafe. Daniel spent a lot of time reviewing each of the different brands and I never felt compelled to make a decision in a hurry. The paperwork was clearly explained and I was happy to hear that they could deliver the next day. I was very happy with my experience in the store and would recommend them to my friends.

Delivery: Two gentlemen called and showed up just as they said they would. They looked over the house for ease of delivery of new bed frame and mattress. They removed my old mattress and box springs. They recommended asking for a bed frame holder since it was obviously a match to my bedroom set. They were so helpful with getting my bed area ready including reattaching my electrical outlet. First impression of store and sales team was excellent. They were helpful and knowledgeable. I had to wait 3 weeks to get Stearns and Foster mattress delivered. No problem with that. They did keep sending me messages to review them and the mattress before delivery. I refused to do this. I was not home when mattress was delivered, I would have refused delivery. The plastic wrap covering the mattress was ripped with holes in it. Covered with stains, and dirt. Then I noticed mattress was "skinny", seemed skinnier than in showroom. It is barely an 11 inch mattress, no way is it 14". The sales person kept trying to make things right. I was not really open to discussion, but I would listen. I believed 100% that Mattress Firm would deliver a new, clean, unopened mattress. But are they going to add 3" of depth? No. This is why I was not open to getting a new one. It leads me to believe that Stearns and Foster sends a different mattress to retail stores as demo, different than what you receive at home. The Sealy that I am replacing, I bought at Big Lots, and it is advertised as a 14", it is 1.5 years old, and it is 14".
