We visited on a Wednesday evening at about 5:30 pm. This restaurant occupies the space of two stores in a shopping strip mall. The front door opens into a space with a few tables and a counter for ordering and picking up take out orders. The kitchen area is behind the counter. You then enter the second space which is filled with tables for dining. Nothing fancy, minimally decorated with an Asian influence. During the prime dinner time, their take out business was hopping. The dining room did get pretty full, but never to the point where diners were waiting. Our server promptly delivered menus and took our drink order. There are plenty of drink options - sodas, beers, tea, etc. The menu consists of every imaginable oriental dish, and lunch and dinner specials. There are many dishes labeled as spicy and as we found out, every dish can be spiced up to your preference. My wife ordered the House Special Duck entree and an Egg Roll appetizer. I opted for the Shrimp With Vegetables Dinner Special. The Dinner Specials include an option of two appetizers from a long list. I chose the Hot and Sour Soup and an Egg Roll. The soup was brought out quickly and was quite tasty with a rich broth slightly sour and a little spicy, loaded with veggies and tofu. Our egg rolls came out next and were delicious, hefty in size loaded with veggies and pork, served with a sweet dipping sauce. I used some of the chili crisp sauce with the sweet sauce to add a little spice to my egg roll. Other hot sauces are available. Our entrees came out shortly thereafter. My wife's duck was probably a half duck, chopped into pieces, served over a bed of mixed vegetables tossed in a rich brown orangey gravy and a side bowl of white rice. The duck was cooked perfectly, juicy inside, crispy outside with a great flavor. My shrimp dish had six good size shrimp, tossed with a light sauce and a mix of vegetables, served with fried rice. I did ask for them to spice it up which they did, but I could have used a little more spice. Excellent shrimp flavor and cooked perfectly. The veggies were crisp tender. The fried rice was tasty. The portion sizes are quite large and we brought home enough for lunch the next day. We will definitely return to try some of their...
Read moreWhoever owns this place is greedy. The chicken has so much fat on it and if you want white meat chicken instead, which is better quality- they up charge. Why not serve good quality to begin with instead of giving everyone chicken full of fat? If you want fried rice instead of white rice, they up charge. They up charge for every little thing! I’ve never seen a restaurant charge extra so much. I’ve only seen Chinese restaurants up charge for shrimp because it’s obviously expensive but this place will charge you extra for everything. My boyfriend got the teriyaki chicken and his chicken was full of fat and it looked and tasted nothing like teriyaki. The chicken was very orange (we thought they mistakenly gave us orange chicken at first glance) the teriyaki sauce was very watery. I got kung pao chicken and mine was also full of fat. They put wayyyy too many veggies in the kung pao and little bit of chicken. I could taste nothing but undercooked veggies and chicken with nothing but fat on it. Their food does not have enough flavor either. We called and asked for a refund if we brought the food back. They said yes. But when we got there, they only agreed to refund us half of what we spent. We spent $30 and they only refunded us $15. The owner claimed the kung pao had no fat on it. I was the one eating it and I could obviously feel the chewy fat texture on each piece of chicken. We didn’t feel like arguing so we just left. I was a frequent customer here for their soups and lo mein, I come here every week because their soups/lo mein is pretty good. but after trying the main course meals and how the manager refused to refund us because we genuinely didn’t enjoy our food- I won’t come back. We brought her back the plates full of food. we never took more than a few bites because that’s how inedible...
Read moreDecember 2024 update, I recently went in for a buffet lunch and wouldn't you know it the very next day I got terribly sick from the shrimp that I ate and I called them and all they could say is that we don't ever get calls like that!!! The only reason they got a one star was because I could not do lessI! usually eat there twice weekly and find the food pretty good..i have ordered twice for delivery and there is a 20 dollar minimum and both those times i came up 30 cents short...too bad...they would not deliver without and this is CHEAP!!!! They know me and also do not offer veteran discounts...i will let u decide about this.... ADDITION: I just did the biggest mistake with these people!!!! I actually ordered a delivery.... food was over cooked and not hot and they forgot the PLUM sauce and when I called, the girl said that she put it in.... made me feel like I just did something stupid and they did not believe me.. well whatever this means, I have learned yet another lesson..... Where does one find a place to eat in the GREEN VALLEY AREA AND IF I do, will I get there without some blind dumb __s senior elderly citizen running me over on my harley? What I am more annoyed with is that they offered me a free small soup the next time that I come in.... you guys know the old saying about holding your breath? by by now!!
