My husband and his family have been coming here for 6+ years and it was great, we've never had any issues and the service was good until recently.
Recently about 2 years ago they had a new owner. They said changes was coming and raised the priced significantly. We always get the big room at the motel because there's always 6 people staying there.
The only changes they made was repaint the place. Nothing else was changed and the price was still expensive. That was last year.
This year the vents were all dirty, the light wasn't working, they put a flat screen TV but it was messed up the quality had red lines throughout the TV and the remote only worked within a foot of the TV and that's a maybe. The key cards barely worked. We had to switch our keys 3 times. The cable in the bedroom didn't want to connect to the wall we had to push the bed up against it to hold the cable. They switched all the queen sized beds to a different room in the motel and gave us full size beds instead. Remember we have the biggest room in the motel and they switched the beds. My husband is a 6' tall man he wasn't comfortable sleeping.
Our cousin's rented a room too and for them the bed was ruined, the middle of the bed was caved in and they had a baby. They didn't sleep at all.

Hopefully they fix things up but the past 2 years hasn't improved and just gotten worse for what you're paying for. We're not coming back and looked for another place to stay.

Read moreI’ve stayed at this resort twice already! Loved the resort the private beach. All was great. Meet the owner the first time I stayed there he had just bought the place and was renovated it! Very nice polite gentlemen! That’s why I went back the second time around! I wanted to go now for a few days and I called to ask about availability and price. I was very disappointed with the man that answered the phone . Very very rude! All I did was ask what pro caution were they taking due to COVID-19. He said well we are not doing anything extra if that’s what your asking . Just the normal cleaning and if you don’t like it than cancel your reservation. Look lady a lot of people are calling asking questions and I’m overwhelmed. I was shocked to get that type of reply! I normally DONT post things but Ive been calling and even had my daughter call to see if we can get managers name and number or owner but no answer until today after trying 4 times. Same man picked up the phone and again very rude . I asked for managers name or owner he didn’t give it to me. He asked what was the problem I didn’t want to get into details with him so all I said is a had a complaint about how I was treated. There went the rudeness again he said oh that was probably me. I said well I need to speak to manager or owner not you. He asked my name and phone as he is hanging up he said to someone next to him this F**en lady bro! Read moreDO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!||We (me and my 10 yr old) arrived after "office hours" and found all our PERSONAL info out in the open so anyone could access it. The room had a keypad lock that probably never was changed so who knows how safe. ||Got to the room and it was FILTHY. Dirty floors, no curtains on the windows, rusted fixtures. The "kitchen" was a mini fridge and 2 burner cooktop with tin foil under the burners. The bathroom was 1950s pink tile with walk in shower. The floor was wet from a leak somewhere that caused puddling and everything was rusty. The weirdest part was the 3 access doors, including one in the bathroom. I could not tell if any of these locked so I spent the first night not sleeping out of fear. ||The next morning we decided to check out the pools. Once again, filthy. Overfull with no chlorine. The beach access was nice though. We went back to the room to try to clean up and discovered we had no hot water. That was the last straw for me. No one in the office during "office hours" and no answer on the after hours phone number. I made the decision after approximately 12 hours in hell to leave the "resort" and book elsewhere. Contacted hotels.com for help and they weren't able to contact anyone at the resort either. I'm in the process of attempting to get a refund as this was GROSSLY misrepresented. I can deal with older properties but not run down unsafe filthy properties that charge $200/night for something that should have been condemned....
