This place is AMAZING-it is perfect. Beautiful beach front and the motel is very clean, the bed was total comfort. I arrived July 9th and stayed to July 18th. This was my first time here but I came with my friend who has vacationed here and the motel next door for 30 years. This is truly a hidden Gem. The people that were here when I arrived were all from the Midwest-Louisville KY and Iowa, Illinois and Indiana. It is truly like a little family. The owners are very nice and on premises daily. Everyone is so friendly. Most everyone shops at Publix down the street a few blocks and stocks the fridge. Really no reason to leave unless you want to shop or sightsee. The pool is heated and nice. Smoking allowed outside your room in a chair with table and ashtray provided. I will return. Next time with my husband and hopefully someday with my grandchildren. I made several friends there and we exchanged information to stay in touch. It was a great experience. I want to thank the owners - When we were checking out no one was at the desk at that moment so we left our keys there. I also, left a post card addressed to my grandkids that I wanted mailed. I left a dollar on top of it. I looked for a note pad to write down my request but saw no paper. I left just hoping they could mail it. My grandchildren called me when they received it, so excited to receive the post card from the beach :) Thank you so much for mailing that for me. I truly appreciate it. I really enjoyed my stay and will return. **BE WARNED-Everyone makes reservations for next year when they leave. This is a place where people return yearly and stay extended time. IF you want a room here make your reservation early or you might miss out if...
Read moreLove this place, great little Motel right on the seafront, uninterrupted views of the pool, beach and gulf sea beyond, steps from your room to the pool to the beach/sea.|Owners Mary and Jack (along with their daughter Joanna) are very friendly, rooms are lovely (we have only ever stayed in the gulf front rooms) and of a good size. Modern full kitchen and bathroom, two small doubles with a separate (can be closed off by double doors) kitchen/living area with sofa, large flat screen TV, kitchen table and four chairs. Amazing view from kitchen/living are window out to the pool and then beach/sea.|Plenty of towels/flannels/wash cloths in the bathroom, everything you could need in the kitchen including a small bottle of washing up liquid and t-towel/wash cloth plush small scrubbing sponge. Even supplied a stove top kettle (which us brits love for making tea).|The pool is a good size and plenty of sun loungers and shady spots to relax, was quiet when we were there both this year and last so not overcrowded with lots of noisy loud people and no large groups.|Wifi and TV signal very good here, have stayed in other motels along this strip and they had issues with Wifi and TV, but none here, great signal.|Had a very enjoyable stay and hope to stay again in the future.|Big plus - we saw Manatees in the sea three times in the space of two weeks and they swam up to us and interacted with us for over an hour, then came back again...
Read moreThis small motel/resort is well maintained and sweet. A good alternative to a big (and possibly rowdy) resort. Downstairs “efficiency” rooms with small kitchen are bigger than the pictures imply. They do look into the courtyard, so not very private, but quiet. After a week of traveling, it’s great to make your own simple dinner and take it out poolside to watch the sunset. They have beach toys, gates by the pool (child safe), and attentive management working on the place. There is even a coin laundry and a BBQ (check it to make sure it works before planning on using it- the sparker wasn’t working for me. I forgot to tell Jack, who I’m sure would fix it). I think our room had new floors and a newer couch. We were pleased we found this place. While they do have simple beach towels, you’ll probably want to bring your own. Ditto on kitchen knives. It seems like a place where the same people come back...
