Great place to go with family and friends. Well stocked bathrooms and easily accessible showers. The parking situation isn't ideal as the parking lot, which you have to pay for with a credit card, is small for the amount of people. The sand is kept clean of debris and is almost a sugary consistency, so rarely any big rocks or shells to step on. Going in the water, there's a small area of shells to step through, but once you're passed that, it's nice. The water is shallow for a bit and then gets deep before getting to a sandbar. The water is pretty calm unless boats zoom passed (not in swim range) and then there's small to medium swells., which are fun to jump. As soon as you get to the beach from the parking area, there's a man that will offer beach umbrellas, cabanas, chairs, paddle boards and other activities for a fee. Unfortunately, theres no food or drinks sold, but theres a Publix across the street and other places to eat. The sand is difficult to bring strollers and wheeled...
Read moreThis was our goto local beech when we lived in Pinellas. It has all the amenities you need: Lounge and umbrella rentals, shops across the road including a Publix, restaurants. Resorts, hotels, parking, showers. It will get busy on weekends and holidays like every FL beach. Water is emerald and can be clear depending on the season and weather. Sand is Finer with mix of shells due to dredging needed to replenish FL eroding coasts. I place it as Finer than East Coast beaches but Courser than Sarasota beaches. Damn doe sit get hot on bare feet in July and Aug. Bring your sandals until you reach the water. Watch for Rays and Dolphins. Nothing to snorkel here for as there is nothing to see but sand. Remember your "Stingray Shuffle" and...

From postings, animals are not permitted on the beach. Additionally alcohol is also not permitted. These notes are from my personal review of postings during my visit. Please look for and check regulations and postings prior to your own visit to verify this...
