Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings — Restaurant in San Antonio

The food was amazing! The cashier Katherine was rude! She forgot to charge us for a combo and then charged us separately on another ticket. We tried telling her it was gonna come out to more money like that and she kept saying “we don’t have combos here so it’s the same amount” and we said “we understand what you are saying but it’s actually not coming out to the same, it’s a dollar something more” she kept arguing with us and telling us “yeah ok ok bye” “have a nice day” “ok ok ok yeah ok bye” we were in shock. It wasn’t the amount difference we were being charged that bothered us. It was only a dollar something. It was the fact that she kept lying even when we were trying to show her and blowing us off! It was so crazy!! Then we asked to speak to the manager after the way she was acting and he himself was acting weird. Like he had no idea what we were even talking about. My husband was telling them he doesn’t care about the money, it was her attitude rudeness ugliness and how she didn’t need to be working there with that terrible customer service and he said “oh ok so you did pay for your fries, right?” He was so lost. Low score for cashier, the worst ever - Miranda. I told her 1st time there. Please let me look at the menu, she rolled eyes. 🤨 I asked for a Philly cheese steak, as it comes, and add extra provolone cheese. Please make it a combo. Maid you, I paused after each sentence. She stared at me like she was waiting for me to speak. I stared back, wondering WTH?? Then she asked what did I want, did I want to make it a combo? Now I looked lost. I was like she did not listen to me, the paying customer. I said yes, and ask for extra cheese again. She still looking lost. Also, she spoke to me in the most ghetto way 😳. I really thought I was being recorded and it was a joke. I am a paying FULL price ($16) customer. I felt so unwelcomed. I guess that is Charley's standard. Not for me!

I usually come to this Charley’s after work, even though there’s one closer to my job. The team here is young, energetic, and consistently provides better service than any other Charley’s I’ve been to. That said, I’ve noticed some customers being unnecessarily rude to the staff — yelling or causing a scene for no reason. Today, I saw a customer shouting at a young female employee who did absolutely nothing wrong. It really upset me, and I felt the need to leave this review. The staff handled it with patience and professionalism, just like they always do. To all the employees here: you’re doing a great job — stay strong...
