Mattress Firm Clearance Center Sports Arena — Hotel in San Diego

What a terrible experience! I bought a queen mattress from the Sports Arena location. Taking my money was the easy part. I paid $60 extra to have them haul away my old mattress and set up the new one (in addition to the delivery fee). I was given a delivery time of 12-2. At 11:45, I got a call that they were 5 minutes away from my house. I told them that they were early so I wasn't at home. I said I was heading there and would be there as soon as I could. I had construction workers at my house who let them in when they arrived and showed them which bedroom to put the new mattress in. They threw the mattress in the room, asked one of the workers to sign for the mattress and left. I got home at 12:03. The Mattress Firm delivery people were already gone. I quickly called the number on the invoice and told them to have the driver come right back and get the old mattress. I was told no way, they were busy doing inventory for the day so no more deliveries! But they just left my house and I am in the very beginning of my 12-2 delivery window. Too bad lady! After several calls I was then told that the delivery people said my construction foreman claimed to be my husband and told them not to remove the old mattress. Seriously? I was later told that they couldn't come back to the house because of a bomb threat. Again, seriously? Did I want them to endanger their drivers? These guys have no shame. Best they could do for me is schedule a two hour window the next day for me to sit and wait for them to show up to haul the old mattress away. I later talked to a manager who offered to refund a small amount of money and gave me the additional excuse that the employee that I had been talking to all day was new. Sorry about that. Oh, and by the way, the delivery time she had promised me for the next day was all booked up now. Are you kidding??? Bottom line, if you have nothing but time on you hands, and like being lied to, definitely buy your mattress from Mattress Fraud...whoops, I mean...

I can’t say enough about my experience buying a mattress at this store! Mike, the Sales Manager, was so polite and welcoming as soon as we walked into the door. He greeted my father and I with a hello and smile and let us look around before jumping right into selling us one. My father had no idea what he wanted other than any mattress not too hard and not too soft. Really? Yes, my fathers bed was apparently 40 years old. On the other hand, my husband and I’s was only 9 years old but didn’t stop me from looking at one for us as well.

I have to say we were so impressed with Mikes knowledge of mattresses! He asked us the most simple questions on what we like and how we sleep(side or back sleeper). Over time what we thought we wanted had changed and noticed the difference in hybrids versus all memory foam versus all coils. Well after 30 minutes of looking and trying all the beds ranging from $800- $3k plus, we were sold not based on price but based on comfort, facts, quality of product but more importantly the quality of customer service.

Mike seriously made our entire experience buying our mattresses stress and hassle free. We ended up buying 2 extremely high quality mattresses separately and he was able to ship them directly to our homes. We even got to choose the delivery day and approximate time! Hands down the best place to buy a mattress and pillows for quality and more importantly customer service. I can’t recommend this store enough and hope you choose to buy your next bed at Matress Firm Sports...

We needed a bed frame and called around to find one at MattressFirm. . My wife and I have been buying mattresses from MattressFirm (previously Mattress Discounters, etc) for about 20 years and have always been happy with their products, service and prices. This time we just needed a frame as we were moving to a new home. We bought from the warehouse location over the phone and had it delivered to our "old" home then had the movers move it to our new home. The night before the move I found that the box was delivered opened. When we went to put the frame together we found that it was missing parts. Very disappointing! I called the customer service dept and requested that it be replaced. I was told that it couldn't be replaced to my new home, and could only be replaced at my old home. We were fine with the mattress and box spring on the floor so we thought we'd simply return it. Then Matthew gave me a call from customer service to check how things went. When I explained the problem, he said, "we'll be happy to deliver it to your new home and set it up as well because of the problem they had created. Matthew was Great! Ivan was our salesperson. Enrique (?) who delivered the new frame came alone and still worked quickly to put together the new frame and load the box spring and mattress on it all by himself! We helped get it positioned just right. I highly recommend MattressFirm and will definitely use them...
