The staff makes this location so much more than what it is!!!! The room was cozy and comfy. We got a 2 bedroom 2 bath. There was a king in the master, two closets and full bath. The 📺 were tiny like maybe 40 in and that’s pushing it. The 2nd room had two twin beds and a closet. There was another bath in the hall. The couch was a sleeper sofa. Room comes with full kitchen. There was an oven!!🥹 We’re a family of 7 so we saved on eating out with breakfast alone. We stocked up on sandwich items and snacks, so that the children would have food that could be made quickly. Breakfast was the biggest thing because our activities started later in the morning/early afternoon. Kitchen was fully stocked, but we got paper plates and plastic cutlery. The laundry room was on the 2nd floor. It’s free!!! I took my own fabric softener/dryer sheets, and dish liquid. It’s a pain running down or calling to get more. I like to be able to have it at my leisure. Nothing against the place🤗. Parking was $ 25 a night. We parked the first night then after. We parked on the st which was close and surrounded by other buildings. We had two vehicles and there were no issues or problems with the vehicles. The staff was beyond incredible!!! They greeted us every time they saw us. Held doors open and assured in any and every way!!! I also recommend getting the city go pass. I got ours off of Groupon. It was $103 pp and it includes soooo much. We went to the Safari park, the aquarium, and sea world for that price😱. Shout out to Jamal who called me and asked for himself❤️ He made sure our every needs were met. Thanks to all the Staff for being extremely polite and displaying what customer service really is.

I've been a Worldmark by Wyndham timeshare owner since 2007, and have stayed at this property several times. Last year, (without notice to owners), it was decided to charge a fee for parking. $25 per night per vehicle. (I was told this was to offset the cost of hiring security due to vehicle break-ins that occurred 2 summers previous. However, I uncountered zero security. I only witnessed Wyndham staff acting as security checking for parking passes at the garage gate.) The fee for parking, only up to 3 nights, can be waived if you take time (at minimum 60 minutes) out of your family vacation to go to an owner update meeting to be sold more credits to use for MORE family vacations. This year, the property was super dirty and seemed unkempt. (See pictures) In the room, the light switch covers were covered in fingerprints, the cabinet inlays had dust in them and were chipped. Outside the room, the elevator was not lined up properly with the floor you were getting in or out on (by up to 2 inches), the gates to the parking garage were not functioning properly, and there was paint spillage dried over the corner of a handicap parking space. I did speak with the concierge desk who could do nothing to satisfy this 16 year owner. I then spoke with Kass, Guest Services Manager who ensured that my housekeeping fees would be refunded, (should take 5 - 7 business days) and apologized for the state of my room.

Love the location, the rooms are beautiful but can always use a touch up. Every room I get seems to have more and more problems. The staff is pushy to take the morning classes and seminars. It's rude, no means no and they act worse than car salesman. The slime ball I had to deal with this time couldn't resist staring at my wife's ass as we waited to get our keys, very unprofessional and hes lucky i didnt make a scene and address him for it. This place has a beautiful view of a dirt wall and a Hilton that decided to build 5 ft from the property. The pool area is small but nice, and the game room is nice for the kids. Parking is 1 car only, and because of the Hilton, surrounding parking is very hard to get if you plan on visiting places and coming back to parking forget it. Now they changed the free underground parking to 25 bucks a day. Id love to know why, and where is that money going? It definitely isnt going to the upkeep of the property. My room had a broken ice maker, and the a.c. unit had a broken exhaust tube so the unit leaked all over the balcony. One day that is going to affect the structure, and its going to collapse from water damage killing someone. A 50 cent pvc pipe is a easy fix for this, yet from the paint on the floor I can see it has been going on for a very long time.

First time staying with Worldmark.

PARKING and GETTING AROUND: The underground parking is great. The location is pretty strange...but we got around ok. A couple days into it we pretty much knew where we were going. We used GPS alot. You need a car with this location. period. There is a mall across the way that has a Target which came in handy for shopping (food allergies).

THE CONDO: The kitchen was great. It had a microwave, full size refrigerator, stove and oven and the cabinets and drawers were stocked with everything needed to cook (other than food). They even had spices (little packets of garlic, onion and a bunch more. There were even these tiny salt and pepper shakers). The bedrooms and bathrooms were quite large and had tissues and toilet paper and there were blowdryers on the wall in each bathroom. Everything was clean and I found the unit to be more than comfortable for the three of us. We had a 2 bedroom 2 bath on the fourth floor. They provide laundry soap, dishwasher soap, dish soap, bar soaps, towels, washcloths, hand towels, a fully stocked kitchen and there are tvs in each room with cable. THERE IS NO FREE WIFI HERE, I REPEAT NO FREE WIFI. Crazy, I know. It is $5 a day or $16 for 10 days. Even the $49 motel down the street offered free wifi. This is why I only give the place 3 stars. Free wifi would move it to 5 stars. It's a big deal Worldmark. Get with the times.

THE PEOPLE: Everyone downstairs was pretty friendly although the person behind the counter in the morning seemed annoyed when you spoke to her. It made me uncomfortable and I didn't want to ask for anything from her. The sales pitches are frequent....we received two or three phone calls (don't answer the phone!) and two letters sticking out of our door. We simply did not have time (and have no interest in owning a timeshare or sharing our information) so we politely declined. It was only slightly annoying for us, but reading these reviews ahead of time prepared me for it. The lady (didn't catch her name) who was vacuuming the front was really friendly and said hi and spoke with us every morning (especially to my 4 year old who thought he was a big boy getting a cup of coffee that he would hold and not drink every morning...LOL). Those conversations made our days very pleasant.

AMENITIES: We did not use the pool, hot tub, exercise room or grills, but we did use the laundry which is complementary on each floor. On the fourth floor there were two facilities on each end and they had 4 stacking washer/dryers.

Overall it was a great experience...we LOVED San Diego and explored beach after beach after beach! We would stay here again given the...

I've been a Worldmark owner for almost 16 years, and just recently within the last five years I have noticed it becoming more and more of the "scam" type of timeshares. My family and I have an upcoming stay at the Mission Valley location. I have stayed at this location many, many times before, but all of a sudden they have changed things like applying a parking fee of $25 PER NIGHT for owners. I was told that it's because there have been thefts in the garage (which is gated and can only be accessed with a room key card) and that the $25 FEE PER NIGHT has been applied for the safety of the guests (really?) I'm from San Diego (lived in the MV area for a few years) and hearing this information doesn't make me feel safe, especially because I know for a fact that there are plenty of homeless people living in the hills, canyons and close to the river. (Now, the homeless might not be doing the thefts, I'm just making people aware that this isn't a high-end, super safe area.) So, Worldmark would prefer to make guests pay for their safety, instead of providing guests with free, or even affordable parking? That doesn't make sense to me. Below is the text message that was sent to me.

"Hi Camille, greetings from WorldMark San Diego - Mission Valley. As you prepare for your upcoming visit, we're getting your resort Vacation Ready by implementing enhanced cleaning protocols and disinfecting measures throughout the entire resort. A number of amenities, such as restaurants and bars, game rooms, activity centers, and business centers have reopened. Our pool and gym are now open at your resort and ready for you to enjoy. To see how we're preparing for your arrival, visit vacationready.com. In an effort to better communicate to all guest and owners about a recent change with our parking. We have included an update about the parking fee that will be effective January 18th 2022. This was previously communicated via owner services and was also communicated to all third party booking partners such as Extra holidays and RCI. The parking fee is $25 a night there is self parking and valet is available. Travel safely. Please reply STOP to unsubscribe. Msg&Data Rates May Apply.”

I'm giving this one star because the customer service is great and usually so is the maid service ( they actually provide 5 star service) but this review is solely based on Worldmark as a company. Wish I could have given them zero stars. Shame on Worldmark for nickel-and-diming its owners, San Diego is already an expensive place to visit and stay. I hope the cost for the parking at least trickle down to...

it was an amazing location but we didn’t realize until we got there that it’s actually a time share property so they immediately hound you about going to a “seminar.” the rooms were great, we had a full kitchen which was nice so we didn’t have to eat out the whole time. we went to a grocery store nearby called Food 4 Less and got groceries for the week and they were not as expensive as we thought they’d be. the hotel only has one pool and one hot tub, the entire 6 days we were there, there were always people in the hot tub so we could never use it. that was really disappointing. they also have a game room that has some arcade games, all kinds of card/board games, and different kinds of lemonades/koolaids all night. that was really cool and we went down there a few times and played some games. the kids liked that a lot. we loved that our condo was two bedrooms so we still had privacy from the kids. housecleaning won’t come in or bring any extra supplies unless you specially ask. they have a “mini” store in the lobby with overpriced items lol. the location of the hotel was the BEST part, i mean it couldn’t have been in a better location. there is SO much to do around that area that you’d never be bored. Mission beach is fantastic if you have children, all kinds of games and rides and entertainment. La Jolla is also close by and you have to check out the Cave Store! Sea World and the San Diego Zoo are both really close to the hotel. Balboa park is a huge park that has tons of things to do, we walked and explored that one day. and my absolute favorite place to go was Torrey Pines State Park. this place had the most beautiful, breathtaking views I’d ever seen. Oh and if you’re visiting for MCRD boot camp graduation, this hotel is perfect because it’s not far at all from the base. (that’s why we were there) I will say the hotel does not offer free wifi which i thought was odd. it was $5/day. and they do not have smart tvs so you can only watch cable. All in all, I would definitely stay there again because the price was really good for being a full condo and it was clean and in a...
