I have to admit, I was worried about our reservation after reading the more recent reviews but my experience was just fine in room 428. It wasn’t five star or like a brand new hotel but we liked it; especially since it is dog friendly for our pup and even had a pet area with turf and bags outside. The staff were friendly and helpful anytime I interacted with them. ||Suite: roomy and spacious. It was perfect for my fam of 4. Me and my teen daughter slept on one bed, my teen restless-sleeper son had his own bed, and my snoring hubby slept on the sofa bed where we could close the sliding door and muffle him. It was nice to have the dedicated sleeping and living quarters. I didn’t have any noise issues from outside or neighbors. ||Kitchen: fully stocked with ceramic plates, cups, and silverware. I saw one review who complained about them not matching; is this really that big of a deal?! There was a roll of paper towels and dish soap provided if needed. It also had a coffee maker and a caddy full of condiments. It had a full fridge, microwave, and dish washer (we didn’t use this so not sure if dishwasher detergent is provided). ||Bathroom: the shower (not tub) was big within the toilet room which was spacious also. The sliding door could close but couldn’t lock, but again not a big deal for our family. The sink was right outside of that room and was deep. Also in that area was the closet which had plenty of space. They have the full bottles of Gilchrist & Soames Zero% shampoo/conditioner/body wash/lotion mounted to the walls. ||About the cleanliness: I thought it was just fine. I mean, the stainless steel appliances were streaky but cleaned. Another complaint I saw in other reviews were about fraying carpets and walls and old bedding but nothing made me feel uncomfortable and I didn’t see one insect that other people mentioned.||About the parking: we paid the extra fee to stay overnight. They have minimal spaces around the property and some underground and we never had an issue with finding one; only once we parked in their outside spaces which are pretty tight. The underground spots were ideal. But we stayed Wed-Sat so maybe that was the difference. The location is right on this bend/cul de sac/dead end with another resort and a Benihana. I didn’t see any homeless encampment mentioned but we did see a guy with a lot of possessions and an RV that seemed to move around that road. ||Amenities: we didn’t use the pool but there was always somebody having fun in it, nor the fitness center but it looked pretty decent and also frequently used. We also didn’t use the laundry room but it looked like they had a number of regular washer/dryer sets to use. We did check out their lounge which had couches, a TV, and a pool table. It’s a hotel pool table so we didn’t have big expectations of it being maintained; in fact one of the bumpers needs to be glued. We were just glad they had one. You have to give your room number to get the sticks. Honestly, it might be beneficial to do the same with the balls because they were pretty beat. The fitness center, lounge, and laundry were on the basement level away from the front desk so understandably it isn’t highly monitored. ||I knocked down a point because I did think our A/C was very noisy and humid. The breakfast was meh and there didn’t seem to be anyone cleaning up regularly after people (if only people did that themselves). But it’s conveniently very close to a few malls and food anyway. Other than those, I think we all had a pretty...
Read morePrior to arrival, we called to let them know we would be late. Once we arrived, they gave our suite away and had to put our family in two separate rooms. The lady at the front desk was behind generous and offered free parking pass. Beware, parking is limited and narrow! Her generosity definitely didn’t go unnoticed as she helped with other issues. Other issues: -no rolling carts for luggage upon check in ice machine was not working on our floor body wash was empty beeping sound throughout the night which was later fixed shower curtain is too short so whenever you took a shower, the floor would end up drenched continental breakfast dining tables were left dirty with no where to sit -area was too crowded, no one closed the lids so imagine people coughing and sneezing all over the buffet Pros lady at check in amazing nice ( I wish she was there all the time as the younger front desk girl lacked people skills. I’m not a prude as I have colored my hair many colors, but the younger front desk girl with blue hair looked unprofessional and unpolished as if she rolled out of bed. They need to have standards on how to look presentable when going into work. the older man working in the buffet area was very friendly and nice beds are comfy room is spacious The biggest concern was feeling like I stayed at a run down Motel 6. During breakfast, we lost our appetite as we watched a family of 5 (teen with 4 kids) walk in bare foot, some kids only wearing diapers (poor child was beyond obese) and underwear. They ransacked the whole breakfast area and had no manners. The teen with dirty greasy dandruff hair walked in front of me rudely to grab silverware and scratched her head right into my plate of food that I didn’t eat it. Sadly, the buffet was closing down so I had nothing to eat. THEN later in the evening around 9:30pm, I saw the same teen now with an older girl hanging out in the front lobby barefoot in the same pajamas hanging out! Apparently no shoes, no shirt, no pants… gets you service! I’m just appalled that the staff didn’t tell them to put clothes and shoes on and just let them roam around. This made the hotel feel cheap and dirty. My guess was that they had a long term stay and lived there or their parent worked their and brought them to work which is why they ran around like they owned the place with no parent in site. Having stayed at other Hiltons, I will not return...
Read moreTHE WORST!!!! ...we tried for first time this hotel to give oportunity and check how their services are but never hear so many excuses to justify a bad service from an Hotel like this weekend. I made my reservation 3 days in advance for my parents, still called in the day of check in at 11 AM to ask them if could do an early check in and to be sure the room was going to be cleaned and ready , the lady in front desk on July 18 assured me their check in was 3 PM but possible could be ready an hour early. Well we arrived till 5 pm and oh surprised the room wasn't ready and their excuses were because "Covid" and didn't have enough personel, they just had 1 housekeeper doing all rooms in the afternoons, they gave us the room till 6:30 pm . I know the circunstances have changed to everyone but if they are so good to accept reservations (because Hotel had more clients staying) knowing they are struggling on provide the service they should or if they don't have enough personel, at least for courtesy they could call their clients and hour earlier and let them know that their rooms won't be ready exactly at check in time so clients could go do something else instead sit there for an hour and a half. The front desk Greg guy was really nice and we know wasn't his fault , at the end they have to say what the Hotel Admin make them to tell. They have 1 housekeeper at the moment and even the guy from engineering was helping the her to clean room, we talk to them and was clear that the Hotel Admin do not provide them what rooms are going to be really need on that day based on the clients reservations. Those 2 poor peoples were just cleaning like crazy every room on their way in the afternoon when earlier they have another housekeeper supposedly cleaning too. How is possible the Hotel Admin can't organize a list with anticipation of the clients that made their reservation and provide it to the housekeeping services so they will know what rooms have priority to be cleaned and ready for each day. Still called them this morning to ask the check out time and "Rachel" in front desk said is 11 AM , I told her since they gave us the room till 6:30 PM if could have a late Check out since most of the Hotels have 1 pm as check out and yes she told us 12 PM , but the way she talk without manners , what is that "Yup" , instead a "Yes" . The housekeeper had more education when we talk to her than that...
