A nice hotel under a great group. Great location with superb hardwares. The most important, the pricing was great for business trip. Should have a big thumb up / 5 stars for them but that was all ruined by small details. Shouldn't internationally renowned hotel chains pay the utmost attention to all the details and thus provide the best service? Unfortunately, I couldn't see that here. Upon arriving at the hotel, the automatic doors at the entrance were locked (perhaps for security reasons). We rang the doorbell and waited for several minutes with no response until another guest leaving the hotel helped us open the door. When checking in, the front desk staff appeared very tired, offering no welcome greetings, let alone a smile. Fortunately, the luxurious decor inside the hotel made up for everything; the decoration and arrangement were done with great care, truly befitting a renowned hotel chain brand. Upon entering the room, I was pleased to find that the room was in excellent condition and very comfortable. However, when I went into the bathroom to freshen up, I discovered hair in both the sink and the bathtub, which I had to clear with tissues. Returning to the room, wanting to rest on the bed, I noticed several black spots on my pillow. Oh my! This spoiled all the good impressions I had of this hotel. It's a shame to encounter these issues in such a great hotel. But then again, it is indeed a decent hotel, and for the price, staying in such a wonderful hotel is really worth it. If these issues can be addressed, perhaps I will choose this hotel again when I visit San Francisco next time."

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night during a business trip. The main reason I chose the hotel was the Marriott Bonvoy program and the hotel being more cost efficient compared to some other alternatives in San Francisco downtown location.||Overall, it was a nice comfortable stay. But there were two down sides during my stays, the first was that the area felt a bit edgy due to being in central downtown. I walked from Union Square to here (as I like walking everywhere) however I didn’t feel particularly safe during this walk. Entering the hotel was blocked by a locked glass door and I had to talk to reception on a dial to get the door opened. It also required my key in 2 more key swaps to go through until I reached my room. This supported my worry about not being in a safe neighbourhood. The second was that there were some hair in the bed when I checked it which gave me the impression that the room was not super clean. The room didn’t feel nicely ventilated but this improved a bit once I turned the air-conditioning on. ||Here are some details on the specifics:||Welcome: The receptionist was very friendly on my arrival and he provided a warm welcome. However, I was so on the edge about walking in the area that I just wanted to get to my room. The receptionist provided two bottles of drinking water as well and told that I could grab as much as I want from the reception. This could be easier if these water bottles were left in the room like all hotels do but it was greatly appreciated. Overall, there was nothing wrong with my welcome apart from the hotel taking some precautions for unwanted visitors getting in. ||The room: I was given a nice large room with everything I could need during the stay. The bathroom was quite clean and the room had every necessity. The furnishings in the bedroom area was ok even though there was nothing interesting/fancy. There was a huge TV with a great view which was appreciated. When I checked the bed, I saw some hair on one side which got me a bit on the edge but it wasn’t a general cleanliness problem and I believe it was a one off incident. Another reason that I didn’t feel settled in the room quickly is because the room was not well ventilated and it only became comfortable to stay in once the air conditioning worked for a while.||The hotel: The hotel looks fresh and nicely decorated. It is an old building but everything is maintained in nice working order. I didn’t have a chance to explore the gym area so I can’t say much about the hotel’s common places.||Location: The hotel location is unfortunately very central in San Francisco downtown. Walking in the night felt a bit unsafe and I really lost my excitement before reaching the hotel. If you are new to SF like me, don’t do my mistake and take an uber rather than walking in this area.||Overall: It was a comfortable stay in a central location with reasonable price for SF standards. The cleanliness of the bed and the safety of the area was questionable and the room was not well ventilated but it was an ok stay apart from these issues. I would probably want to try another hotel in my next time in SF but I wouldn’t dread staying here if the price is...

My stay here is the worst! Front desk named Jamea is so rude and unprofessional, She is. not accommodating at all. It seems that she is not the right person to be in the front desk. It is not only me but my other family members also noticed her attitude. I have never encountered someone who is as bad as she is with regards to customer seevice. If there is a zero star I would give that. She made my stay very uncomfortable and upset. Jamea and Muskan should have a smile in their face and not tell customers wrong information about their parking. I felt discriminated and disrespected as a guest. ||This all started because of parking spot! |The parking is so bad, it is hard to find the gate entrance for the lower level parking and the first level parking. There is no clear instruction which gate to access for the first level and lower level. Jamea did not let us park on the first floor vacant disabled parking spot, which we have the placard. When I asked her why, she said that the parking is reserved for the guest that is already checked in and that guest is in and out and it is first come first serve basis. There is alao so much parking left on the first floor. |as I stayed in the lobby, I overheard someone checking in and she parked in that disabled spot. the guest mentioned the make of the car and it is the car that is parked on the spot that I was asking Jamea if we can park there. So I wondered why was she allowed to park there, I checked in before and what happened to what Jamea said to me about first come first serve and the guest was in and out?|After I overheard that, I approached Muskan who chrcked in the lady and I tolf her the situation that I was told it is a first come first serve as what Jamea said. take note Muskan was there when Jamea was telling me that. Then Muskan said, that the guest will move her car, she will just unload. |Guest what, the guest did not move the car. They basically let her park there and not me. She checked in after mw. That guest was also looking for parking at the same time we were looking for parking that is why I know I came first. |So Jamea basically told me wrong info about the first come first serce 8 o’clock basis and that particular parking reserved for someone that is in and out. of the hotel already. That was completely untrue. I dont know what does she have against me. I felt discriminated and treated wrongfully. I have high respect for Marriott but she ruined it. My stay here is the worst. I will never stay here. She did not provide good customer service and she made me|feel stupid foe believing her. and when I confronted her she has the guts to argue with me. I already escalated this with corporate and I can’t wait to talk to the manager tomorrow. She does not belong in the front. She’s no use. A front desk person should know how to have a pleasing pesonality that can help guests and knows how to de escalate and not tell guest wrong information jus tro make the customer’s...
