First Unitarian Universalist Church & Center — Attraction in San Francisco

I just can't say enough good things about this church. A christian, I joined this year after a long search, and feel so at home. The religious education (Sunday School) is outstanding for our two kids, and really provides a safe community and place to grow. It is one of the very strong points for me that many different spiritual pathways intersect here: Christian, Hebrew, Buddhist, Islamic, Pagan and Atheists are welcome, since it is a place which remains open for discussion of each person's sincere feelings about the great mystery of our existence and what is beyond. We held our wedding reception here. The best place you'll find in the city for a reception. The price was great, they let us bring in our own food and alcohol, and they provided us with more than enough tables and chairs that we needed for our 160 guests. Plus, the two adjacent rooms (Thomas Star King Room and MLK Jr. Room were huge. They also have a great projector and large screen that we used to show a slideshow/video, plus a small stage for our MC. Jay, the facilities manager, was really helpful and ensured that we were fully prepared for the big party....

I once participated in a free Holliday meal there ,and although I do not know of there Religious Ceremonys, the congregation s members seem to be very cheerfull, warm, very real ,no showmanship,no preasure. Also they seemed to be a good cross section of the Great people of this magical city by the bay San Fransico,CA USA. I Will add it appeared to have a daycare facillity with outdoor playground.Im not sure if its a free, members only, operates outside of regular church...
