I used their services when I was a new immigrant like 20 years ago. The services were great and staff was friendly. Yesterday I went to appts with my parents to assist them. The services were terrible from the receptionists to membership services to social worker. I got misinformation from the front desk on the first floor who had attitude. She ordered us to wait for one hour to talk to membership services for just filling out advance directives form even though i have experience of filing the same form. When I finally talked to the lady from the membership services, I was given the form and was told to fill the form at home. Obviously they don't know what they are doing. She just said the receptionist didnt know. They didnt apologize for any miscommunication and misinformation. I dont even feel they will talk about issues like this in their staff meetings to improve the services. Also, all of them including social workers like to say that is not my job...this is not what i do to cover themselves...without any guidance on where to seek assistance. I definitely feel they hate their jobs and dont want to help ppl. Another receptionist called Xiaoling Eva Huang was terrible as well. She didnt listen what i said carefully and kept misunderstanding what i said. She had no patience to listen at all and said "none of my business". Another receptionist sat next to her was more friendly when she talked to patients. I dont recommend this place to anyone unless you can only speak Chinese without other choices. So far this is the worst clinic compared to other English...
Read moreMy experience with Yining, a Caseworker from NEMS was absolutely horrible! Yining did everything she could to make my son' s Doctor's visit a nightmare! She was extremely controlling and very insecure person because she made us feel very unwelcomed! She did many things that was not right like asking us did we eat and looking at us as if we were bad people. Yining seemed very uncomfortable with me being at my son's Doctor's appointment to support him so she talked to my son alot, she told him to call her and wanted him to email her knowing my son has a disability. Yining told me to let my son fill out the forms himself and just talked a lot about him being independent. My son is a teen who is growing into a young man but still needs his Mom's support. Yining talked for me a lot when the Doctor asked me questions. It was again a nightmare experience except for the nurse who was very kind. I hope Yining can get herself some mental help. Please address this issue so nobody else have to put up with these kind of...
Read moreMy mom was blessed to have found Dr. Luan at North East Medical Center as her dentist. Dr. Luan was so gentle and patient while helping her adjust her old denture for a better fit. She even created a temporary fit first, just to make sure she was comfortable — and it was perfect.
When my mom returned to make the fit permanent, she accidentally moved during the molding process, which meant Dr. Luan had to repeat her work. Instead of showing any frustration, she was kind, reassuring, and told her it was completely okay.
The compassion, patience, and dedication Dr. Luan showed in making sure my mom’s dentures fit just right truly stood out to me. Another big plus is that Dr. Luan can speak both Mandarin and Cantonese, which made communication so much easier and comforting for my mom.
I’m very grateful for the care she provided, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, thorough, gentle, and...
