My family and I were in desperate need of a room upon arriving here after camping and having very little money. Every motel/hotel/inn I visited wanted a hefty deposit and wouldn't allow our ESAs. I finally found this place and I knew it was going to be sketchy based on the price but it honestly wasn't that bad tbh. I paid for a room with one bed and a shared bathroom. The room was gross, I won't lie. The walls had awful graffiti, both racist and homophobic. There was a giant hole that was stuffed with a plastic bag. The bed spread had holes and burn marks and the mattress was yellow. The window was partially broken and had a single curtain panel tacked up. The floor was filthy and so we kept our shoes on the entire time. I set up a tent for my brother, laid sleeping bags on top of the bed, and blew up our camping pillows to avoid touching/using the floor/bed. The shared bathrooms were fairly clean and the water was hot. My mum accidentally had a sip of the water and was violently ill so BUY BOTTLED WATER. The area is terrible; homeless people, drug activity, fecal matter, police and ambulances, construction in the middle of the sidewalks, loose dogs, and so on. But for $30 the first night and $40 for the second I was happy, you get what you pay for here. A note to the staff: THANK YOU. You gave my family a place to stay. I was violently ill, throwing up and yelling in the early AM. My mother had to strip the bed and throw away the bedding. They gave her garbage bags and didn't charge us extra for ANYTHING. And that room was nasty, it stunk of vomit and was a mess. My mum did her best at cleaning up. They also let us have a later checkout for free. Kind people providing a necessary service for a struggling community.

Don’t trust in pictures you see online, this place shouldn’t be open. It has been the most terrifying experience of my entire life. I came here and the place was dirty, with a disgusting smell everywhere. The room was NOT the one on the pictures, and definitely not in the same state. You can see in the pictures how is it. I couldn’t have a shower, it was disgusting. I had to stay the first night because it was during a big event in SF so I couldn’t find any alternative, but I ran away the next day. They refused to make any refund and the booking agency didn’t help either, I had to pay around $600 for a one night stay in this hell. Don’t go, forget about it, it’s a place full of weird people and definitely is not safe. I’ve never felt so in danger in my entire life, and I visited most of the places on Earth. This is a SCAM! Definitely the worst place I’ve ever been, look at the pictures to figure out what I’m talking about.

Stayed for a week, had a nice view with the fire escape balcony. There’s so many stores and places within walking distance, it’s very affordable. I purchased the room with a shower, $115 flat rate if you go through management instead of online booking. Deposit is $80. Showers are hot. Mirror was very tiny in the bathroom. Fridge stopped working after a couple of days. The main WiFi wasn’t working in my room, only the hallway. I had to pay Xfinity WiFi to be able to get online $10. The TV is cable only, they have a restriction on the volume so it’s always low. They give you only a towel for amenities, you have to buy your own soap & hygiene items. The neighbors are always loud, fighting and slamming doors. Other than that, it seems like a safe place with double door security to be buzzed in any time you go in and out. Staff is kind and strict, they will give you an extra hour to check out if needed.

PLEASE READ FOR YOUR DISCRETION

To start off, this hotel is in a ROUGH part of town, and that's not really there fault, but don't expect la Quinta quality staying in the rooms here. It's a dive hotel. It's not the Tenderloin ( the skid Rowe of San fran) but it's the outskirts where there is definitely heavy substance culture on the streets and watch your step on the sidewalk because there is suspicious fecal matter that might be dog...might be human. You will walk up LOTS OF STAIRS, and there is no elevator (literally if you need ADA accommodations just reconsider this whole area) The private bathroom space had a larger bathroom but the room is SMALL, rusticly clean but small. The sheets have seen better days, I'd honestly get shower shoes cuz woof, but it's not the worst dive hotel I've seen. The management was kind and compassionate, however their business practices are more on the slum lord side. They want you to pay off the books in cash and don't be suprised if they stiff you on the room price or try to hold your stuff for ransom, but again it's a dive hotel. If you are a crusty punk traveling kid living on the edge, it's a good haven for a decent price, if you're a middle class family on vacation,...
