I order three bottles of whiskey from the Whiskey Shop, 2 bottles of Kilkerren 5, bourbon cask, and 1 bottle of Kilkerren 7, bourbon cask. Later that day, I received an apologetic call letting me know that two of the bottles (Kilkerren 5) were actually out of stock. Whiskey Shop suggested that I place a new order for the Kilkerren 7, which they assured me was in stock. I placed a second order for two bottles of Kilkerren 7, bourbon cask, and 2 of Kilkerren 7, sherry cask.

My order was cancelled again.

When I called to inquire about why my new order was cancelled, the Whiskey Shop employee I encountered was quite rude and behaved as if I didn't understand the nature of the transaction. She told me I was "mistaken" about the stock. I explained the situation, citing the first order, the call I received, and the subsequent second order. She finally agreed that Whiskey Shop had made a mistake in canceling my second order.

Saw that their prices were pretty good and that they had some relatively obscure bottles (at least in the US). Ordered a few bottles from them. They contacted me the following day saying that one of the items I ordered wasn't in stock and asked if it was okay with me if they shipped the rest of the order and refunded me for that item. I said OK and received the order a few days later. Everything arrived intact and the quality of the packing was impressive, the bottles were very well-protected. However I was not refunded for the out-of-stock item. I contacted them about this issue and to their credit they got back to me immediately and then refunded the money for that item. I was in town for vacation with my s.o. She was the one that noticed the shop, which happened to be closed at the time. We came back the following morning with just enough time to browse and I'm glad we did. We were greeted when we walked in. Brendan assisted us for the rest of the shopping experience. He was great. He had knowledge of a variety of whiskies. It was impressive. He made the shopping experience very easy and was able to get my order together. I've been home now for just over a week. I've opened up the first bottle that he recommended and he was spot on. I highly recommend this place. The hours are limited but I think that's more of a SF thing. The prices were decent but the variety was very strong. The customer service really sets this...
