The Remedy is a quaint restaurant in the strictest sense. It's decor is minimalist-beach, like the La Croix of beach-view restaurants, which is further accented by the massive sand dune mostly blocking the view of the beach. Speaking of, though it may be enticing to be seated near the glass doors leading to the outdoor patio, don't. The general restaurant noise congregated and surrounded us, making basic conversation near impossible.

That's said, their beignets were less minimal and more maximum, but in a laterally good kind of way. It's hard to ruin fried dough doused in powdered sugar, but The Remedy placed them in a short pasta bowl with blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries, and then drizzled them with chocolate and strawberry syrup, oh, and THEN sifted a pinch of powdered sugar on them. They were good, but not what we expected.

I had the Classic Eggs Benedict, which was satisfactory, and I liked that I could cut through the egg, ham, and English muffin with my fork, but they lacked in flavor; despite all of the ingredients and seasoning, the perfectly poached egg yolk dominated my taste buds. Hash browns were served with the Benedict, and they were tasty, but looked and tasted more like a latke than browned potato hash.

My wife had the basic breakfast sandwich, which she said was a very good basic breakfast sandwich.

All in all, given that the prices were comparable to similar local restaurants, The Remedy won't cure your hunger for the ultimate breakfast/brunch place on the Emerald Coast, but it will satiate you long enough to continue...

We are locals and we wanted to try to find a brunch spot that we haven’t been to yet to celebrate our seventh wedding anniversary. The pictures online match the atmosphere when we arrived. Super cute decor, beautiful views of the beach and a laid back vibe. Initially, I wasn’t impressed with the service. When we walked in, A server told us to walk around the corner to be seated. We stood there for several minutes Without anyone acknowledging us. Finally we decided just to sit at the bar. As soon as we sat down, we were told there was going to be a five minute wait.. Five minutes for what? We just sat down. 😅 A waiter came over and took our drink order, then disappeared for a while. Another couple came and sat next to my husband and I at the bar. The bartender attended to them first, although we were sitting there for several minutes without anyone speaking to us. Once our order was placed, and we continued to order drinks, the bartender warmed up and ended up being very friendly. I’m glad that they changed my mind about the service because the food and the atmosphere are totally worth it! My husband ordered the breakfast sandwich and I had the steak hash. It was so good! We ordered their Parmesan fries as an app, but we could’ve ordered it as our meal! They were so simple but so good! And we really like their...

We were to tired to go out and find a restaurant in the neighborhood, so we decided to dine at the small restaurant that is part of the hotel we are staying for a Christmas beach getaway. Lady who seated us was incredible indifferent, not a smile, nothing. The Gentleman who served us on the other hand - Mike - was super friendly. We decided on Fish and chips and i had the gourmet burger. We were the only guest. There was a nice gentleman playing guitar for entertainment. I should have suspected something when the food came out not even 5 minutes later… the truffle fries covered 75% of the plate the remaining burger was a plain, double patty wannabe gourmet burger. The bun turned soggy and the taste was rather bland if it wasn’t for the onion and jelly. For $17 I expected a real gourmet burger you find at places like Red Robin or Taco Mac… very disappointed. Value for money? Absolutely not. My wife was equally disappointed. 3 measly pieces of deep fried fish. Suggestion: offer happy hour to draw customers in and offer a weekly special for a reasonable price like $12.99: fresh local fish, vegetables, brown rice/quinoa/…. Have a look on YouTube for ideas (Gordon Ramsey 100 recipes?). Highly overpriced. Lot’s of potential with great location. Remedy for not getting ripped off? Stay away...

The Remedy Brings me Unforgettable Dining to Fort Walton Beach. I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Remedy, the newest addition to Fort Walton Beach's culinary scene. Despite its modest size, the restaurant offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The chef's masterful fusion of local ingredients and Cajun techniques creates a prescription for delectable food that is sure to satisfy any craving. The Remedy caters to all dining occasions, from family breakfasts to boozy brunches and intimate dinners. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by an array of vibrant aromas and a warm and friendly staff. The restaurant's Gulf coast vacay vibe makes you feel right at home. Brunch at The Remedy is an experience worth savoring. It's the perfect opportunity to reconnect with friends, unwind with family, or simply embrace a leisurely weekend morning. The menu features a delightful array of classic egg dishes, fluffy pancakes, and refreshing mimosas that cater to every taste. The Remedy goes above and beyond, making brunch the highlight of the weekend. It's not just a meal; it's a chance to share unforgettable moments with loved ones. So, if you're seeking a place that combines exceptional food, a welcoming ambiance, and a focus on building relationships, make your way to The Remedy.
