Metropole Motel — Hotel in Seaside Heights

First, to be honest, I haven't stayed there, but my son and some of his friends have on several occasions so this is a combined review. My husband and I wanted to book the Metropole, but we couldn't remember the name or location and couldn't reach my son, so we ended up booking a motel down the street, what a mistake! Since we couldn't get our deposit back from our motel, we stopped at the Metropole to see the rooms for ourselves and we're sorry we didn't stay there. Their pool is in the courtyard, not in the parking lot, so bonus points right there! Rooms have kitchette, bathrooms small. I spoke with the owner and the manager, both very nice. Clean and basic. I would stay there in the future.||My son and his friends stayed there a couple of times in 2012, before Sandy. Their only complaints were the bathrooms were small, one of the bathrooms needed some repairs, but still completely usable. The pots in the kitchenette needed to be washed before using (I would do this anyway). Management was nice, made sure everyone heard the rules and agreed to before checking in. Nasty managment nasty thief owner I stayed here for I dont know about a week so we had called the metropole and they had told us there pet friendly it was 50 dollars extra a week so no problem plus our 400 a week for 2 adults and 2 kids but anyway we needed to stay for a month or so well the one room we rented for our cousin who needed a room as well was sending iut voltage so when ever you touched something metal or the water you got electricuted ... So needless to stay cide enforcement was right there ..the owner vinny never wanted to refund some or all of our money back when asked a million times instead he kicked us out ...he also had another unit occupied by 5 people when we he told us we could only have 4 which that's max occupancy sooi shady the managment smokes weed and her husband drinks every night theres a woman there who gets drunk and yells at people all the time people who visit the island who live there etc. There's drugs being sild from one unit to the next theres cocaine usage there not a good place to deal with ....vinny p look up on...
