This bronze sculpture depicting "Chris Cornell in Performance" was the masterpiece of Nick Marra. It was placed at this site in 2018, following the tragic death of Chris in May of 2017. The sculpture was commissioned and donated by Vicky Cornell. We visited Seattle December 2018, It was great to see Chris honored in this way, but also bittersweet with the knowledge of him gone - another grunge hero who has left us in an untimely manner.

RIP Chris Cornell. No one sings like you anymore 💔🎶 Big Soundgarden, Audioslave, and Chris Cornell's solo career fan. This statue doesn't do him justice. The statue is tucked away from any entrance & is easy to miss if you don't look for it. The plaque is hard to read as it is in the ground 😕 I'm glad I was able to see this, but I think it is somewhat lacking given what he did for music.

I’ve loved Chris Cornell since I was a teenager in the 90s. Grunge was huge and I’ve been a fan ever since. On our trip to Seattle it was a mist stop for me. Our hotel was in walking distance and it was amazing to see in person. Great attention to detail to honor him in his city! RIP to an amazing artist!
