I was traveling from California to Tennessee my truck broke down in Shamrock Tennessee I told the front desk of my problems and the lady did not care this was in the morning and she told me make sure you check out by 11 make sure you check out by 11 it's Christmas and just to let you know the situation it was Christmas Day she had no heart or concerned for our situation we had one tire that losing air and the other Tire was coming apart thank God my wife found a great mechanic shop that said they would be able to get us two tires by the next morning the 26 December. So we stayed at the Best Western on the 24th and 25th and left Shamrock Texas on a 26th after Irish Road service(five star company) replaced our tires. Both the people that worked on the front desk were rude obnoxious with no class the first night the mother was working and the second night the daughter was working the last night we stayed there they were having a party in The Breakfast hole and we could smell marijuana and cigarettes in our room that was right next to the breakfast hole when my wife when to speak to the mother that was partying at the time she said I'm not working it's not my job and then we went to the daughter that was working at the front desk and she said they are having a family get together with a bad attitudes and she did not care that the next day we have to continue our drive to Tennessee from Texas the next morning when we woke up at 5:00 we went to go speak to the daughter again and she started yelling at my wife and myself about she don't care that we could not sleep and that if I have a problem my wife should call Best Western and she did not care to get fired for her inappropriate behavior that she and her mother gave us one of the worst experience I had at a Best Western me and my wife have been at many Best Westerns all over the country and on our way from California to Tennessee and this behavior from employees of Best Western was the worst I've ever seen it was so bad that on the rest of our trip we went to different motels and hotels to stay over on my way to Tennessee.. when we arrived in Tennessee a couple of days later we called the customer service of Best Western and told them our story and we did not hear...
Read moreWe have stayed at this hotel on several occasions to visit family and have had no issues prior to our recent stay. The breakfast has always been fresh and staff have always been so kind and friendly.
We booked a multi family reservation weeks in advanced requesting conjoined pet friendly rooms. Upon check in we were advised that they do not have pet friendly conjoined rooms and we would need to get a third room for our pets. Given that we had our dogs, We did not have much choice so we paid for another room that was pet friendly.
All was fine the first night but the second night which happened to be the 4th of July, we took the dogs out for an early walk before putting them in their crates for the night. my son walked our Pomeranian through the field right next to the hotel and on the way back in for the night a man from the house Next door to the hotel began yelling, went back into his home and came back out with a gun yelling at myself and two children for walking the dog through his backyard, which is the field right next to the hotel parking lot. There are no fences, no signs, and no notification was given by staff indicating that we cannot walk them through that field as we have done on every stay prior. We immediately notified the police and the hotel. The hotel staff indicated that he has been a problem previously and the police brushed it off advising myself and husband that they would talk to him.
The owner of the hotel did call my sister in law stating they would look into a solution / fence. Whether that has happened or not, I don’t know but I wanted to leave this review so that other guests with pets / children would know to avoid going through that open space at all as I would not want anyone else to have this experience as it was avoidable and could have easily escalated into something far worse had that man decided to...

Free wifi w/ample signal strength. Easily accessible bedside outlets for charging electronics. Slept well on comfortable bed with fat, fluffy pillows. Next morning, continental was well tended by very nice lady who was cooking eggs to order. Slight issues arose for me: Bathroom was clean, but there must be high mineral content in the water because shower head & granite walls had discolouration & staining, tub had rust. Shower dripped & toilet ran constantly. Although they have a covered portico which is nice for transporting luggage in inclement weather, it's hard to keep the cart from rolling down the walkway cutout into your vehicle & then a little difficult to push the cart up the walkway to the front entrance. And secondly, while I appreciate that they are pet friendly, putting all the pets on the top floor is NOT conducive to easily taking them outside to potty. Happily, they have an elevator but even so, it puts undue stress on both the animals & owners. I waited with a lady whose larger older dog was frightened of the elevator. I have mobility issues so trekking up & down the stairs to & from the 3rd floor isn't really an option. The designated pet area had stickers & while I had my own little bags to properly dispose of poo, none were provided & some BIG dog had left a BIG pile. Not the hotel's fault that some people don't clean up after their pets, but it's more likely that they would if bags were provided. Still, the good outweighed the bad & I'd...
