Hasty’s Restaurant — Restaurant in Shamrock

Stopped here on our way through TX, had a great lunch. Husband had double cheeseburger and tots, and I had the Hickory Burger with cheese. If I'd paid more attention to the description, I wouldn't have ordered it - which would've been my loss! The bacon on the hickory burger was crisp, there were also onion rings and bbq sauce on the burger, and with that toasted bun, it was a delicious bite. I got curly fries, and we discussed that the tots and fries were perfect! The soft drinks are made with way too much ice - thats mostly what you're paying for with the drinks - crushed ice. I would've asked for them to only fill half full of ice if I'd known. The other thing about the drinks - the young man that rang us up told me, "I rang your drink up as a Cherry Limeade, but I know you just want a Sprite." I said okay, then looked at my receipt later and the same size sprite was more expensive than my husband's Dr. Pepper because of that error. If I'd known about the price difference I would've said go ahead and give me the Cherry Limeade...anyway, aside from the drink issues, it was great food, and I reccomend it! We managed to park our F250 with 35' 5th wheel to the back of their lot. It got quite busy on this Saturday at just after noon....

This the first time we had gone to Hasty's but it will not be the last, when you are in Shamrock Texas you have to try this place They have a sizeable menu for what we thought was just a hamburger place, they have sandwiches ranging from hamburgers to philly steak sandwiches and quite a few in-between, they have several sides to pick from also, we hade the sidewinders( a thicker cut curly type of French fry) and onion rings both were excellent, they also have tex-mex dishes, salads and a section they call their favorites which all look good the next time we are there we are going to try their chedder BBQ pulled pork fries don't those sound delish, besides the stand by sodas they also have milkshakes, malts and floats and if that wasn't enough and you have room for the sweeter things in life they have hand dipped ice cream or sundaes to round it off they also have homemade brownies or peach cobblerand did I mention the staff here was extremely helpful and friendly all I can say is you got...

Oh my goodness, what a treat! 10/10 stars! First off, Morgan: As so many others have said, he’s fantastic! From the moment you walk in, he greets you with a smile and big blue eyes. He’s super friendly, very knowledgeable regarding the menu and the town history and wonderfully attentive to his customers. Menu: We are on a Keto diet. While they do have a grilled chicken, squash and zucchini dish that looks very yummy, Morgan was helpful and agreeable to modifying dishes to accommodate us. The Cachos (without chips) and the Frank Johnson Burrito (without potatoes) we’re really good & nice sized portions too! We also tried the Loaded Jacrispy’s which do have a light breading on them, but oh so worth the carbs! The ice cream and desserts looked awesome too. Hasty’s is extremely clean, all the staff & even the other customers were welcoming and kind. I wish this place was in our home town; but we travel through fairly regularly so this will become a regular...
