Baymont Inn and Suites, Sharonville, OH– Stay Far, Far Away! If I could give negative stars, they would get -100. Some of my bowling club members and I stayed at this hotel from July 10–13, and it was, hands down, one of the worst experiences I’ve had at any hotel. We had originally booked 20 rooms. Fortunately for them, some of our members found a better rate (and a better experience) at the Holiday Inn. Let’s start with the room: • The microwave didn’t work. • The telephone didn’t work either, and there was exposed wiring where the phone should have connected – a safety hazard. • There were no towel bars in the bathroom, so we had nowhere to hang wet towels. • In the shower, there wasn’t even a small shelf or ledge to place soap or shampoo. • The carpet underneath the air conditioner was soaked through with water, which is a clear sign mold will be growing soon if it hasn’t already. On top of the terrible maintenance issues, the customer service was shocking. I complained about other guests banging on doors near my room, and someone who claimed to be the manager hung up on me during the call. When I went to speak with him at the front desk and started recording our conversation (which I had every right to do), he threatened to throw me out of the hotel. Instead of offering help, the manager basically told me, “If you have a complaint, contact corporate,” but refused to provide corporate’s contact information – telling me to “google it” instead. In summary: poorly maintained rooms, broken amenities, safety issues, and an unprofessional, confrontational manager who seems to think guests are the enemy. Folks should avoid this place at all costs. If you value your safety, comfort, and being treated like a human being, look elsewhere.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! There was so much wrong with our stay! The property looked run down and completely uncared for. The maintenance worker was sobbingly dressed, was rude and disrespectful, and used profane language. The blackout curtain in our room didn't cover the entire window. Someone previous to our stay put gum on the walls to try to get the curtain to cover the window. It was still there when we checked in. The metal transition strip between the tile in the bathroom and the carpet in the bedroom was missing screws and sticking up. I could have easily tripped on it or cut myself. There was no working vent fan in the bathroom. Had to keep the bathroom door open to keep the mirrors from fogging up causing me to step out of a hot shower into a cold bathroom. The shower curtain rod's screws were loose so it didn't hang right and the curtain wouldn't stay closed. A previous guest's hair was on the wall in the bathroom. The bed was like sleeping on a concrete slab. I accidentally left my cell phone charger behind. Asked if they could mail it to me (they first said I could make a 120 mile round trip to come get it), they said, "We don't do that." When I expressed my displeasure to customer service, the email response I got from the hotel manager looked to be a generic, fill in the blank response to any complaint they might get and it didn't even cover everything I spoke of. The only compensation they offered for my negative experience was a, "$15% discount on my next stay". I will NEVER stay at this property again. I wouldn't even let homeless people stay there! The only good thing was that the mediocre breakfast was hot.

The cleanliness of the hotel was poor. Checked in Baymont with my husband and the room reeked as if they used a sour rag to wipe the area. Tired from our move we decided to take a shower only to find out the handle from the shower was broken off. Went to from desk to address situation, he came to my room with a part as if he knew. But the piece was broken off more than he thought. We had to slide a jagged piece of metal with our fingertips to take a shower. That’s not the worst part while taking my shower, I had water up to my ankles because the tub didn’t drain properly. We’ve ran the AC overnight barely cooling off the room because it blows out small amounts of air. Went to the pool and it was not a safe blue to get in. It looked the color of green algae. We should have been told by from desk the pool was out of commission instead of leaving the guest to debate on get in or suffer the consequences. The ice system machine was shut down on all four floors! One elevator broke to where the fire department was called and with the other elevator no more than 4 can get on it. Will NEVER use this Baymont again get and will use my social media to share my experience before they check in!!! LOOK AT THE POOL WATER!!! There’s nothing blue about it!

This is not great.

The room was clean and well priced and the location was good for what we were doing in the area and that is where my praise must end.

We got in late on a Friday 2 AM ( so I guess technically Saturday) and we called ahead to tell them of the late check in. That was fine. By the time we got in, unpacked hauled our bags up the stairs (because the elevator was out) it was about 4:00. As luck would have it we didn't fall asleep right away after all that. This is not the hotels fault. However we were awoken at 8 AM by the attendant wanting to clean our room! We travel a lot and I have never seen anyone there before checkout time to clean a room. When I told him to come back later he didn't understand me because of a language barrier and tried entering the room anyway. When he finally got the picture he moved onto the next room. It's inhabitants were also not pleased and seemed as surprised as we were.

When we left and came back that night imagine our surprise when nothing was restocked and the bed wasn't made much less sheets changed out. I told the attendant at the front desk about it and he apologized and said we must have had the DND sign up. But this was not the case. Our room did not have one anywhere in it. Upon explaining this he seemed surprised and offers to have him make the bed and change everything out for us but it was already midnight.

Breakfast was okay and that is being generous. There were eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal and the other usual continental breakfast choices. However the staging area was filthy. The tops of containers had egg droppings and crumbs all over them and the counters looked the same. The problem is that all the crumbs and stuff were there from the day before! I took not of it my first morning because it seemed gross. Morning two I did not eat because of this.

We are Wyndham rewards members and stay all over in various lines when we travel. This was a rather underwhelming stay to say the least. We are taking another trip to the same area this weekend and will not be staying in this establishment.

All that said, I am not one to just leave a bad review and not give credit where it is due. I feel as though the owners may have some staffing issues which can account for a lot of these problems discussed. Perhaps with more staffing these problems will disappear. That is my hope as I do wish the best for the family that owns this location. They were very nice and the help I encountered just seemed overwhelmed and stressed. Hospitality is a tough gig. I wish...

First of all I called the hotel to see if they would accept the travelers coupon for $59.99 and I was told yea as long as I was a walk in and they still had the rooms available. I got there and he said because I had 2 kids, ages 3 & 9, I would have to pay $89.99. The coupon is for "1-2 people" I figured kids stay free. Guess not. He ended up charging me $75 which was fine. The indoor pool area is covered in green moss on the concrete and black mold on the caulking around the pool. The inside of the pool had moss stuff around the tiles and in the cracks of the inside of the pool. So while my husband stayed with the kids at the pool I went back to the room to take a shower. I couldn't figure out how to get the shower head to turn on so the tub started to fill up and funky stuff from under the bath mat started to float around. So I didn't get to take a shower. I called the front desk from the room phone and it just rang so I went down there. I asked the Lady how to turn the shower on and told her about the funk under the mat and she said she would have her manager come show me how to turn it on. A guy came and showed me and I showed him the funk under the tub mat and he said he would have to go talk to his manager about it and see what she would do. I guess neither one knows their title, it was the same 2 that was there at check in. She told him to move our room next door. I checked the tub and the mat was in tact and not too bad. There was still mold or mildew on the caulking around the tub and tiles. There was a slobber stain on a pillow and junk behind the tv stand including a fork. When I took the key to the first room to the front desk I told the lady I took 2 pillows from the room and that we would leave them in the new room. She said "NO I nees those for other guest put them back" as if they were going to rent that room out tonight anyway. Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if they did. By this time I felt nasty just for being at that place. They clearly don't clean good at all. So I had my husband go ask if we could just leave and be refunded. They said we could and would be charged a $5 fee to clean the room which was fine. They charged us $10! I guess it was my fault the tub in the first room was nasty. $10 is no big deal but that place is nasty and I shouldn't be charged for a room that we couldn't...

Listen to the other one star reviews....

Where to start.... This place has the vibe that it could be a hospice hotel where people go and wait to die a sad death. The only thing missing is the old people in the hallways. The only reason this hotel isn't 1 star overall is probably because it's more expensive and keeps away the people would use this place solely to throw underage drinking parties and to just use drugs in.

This place is so poorly kept up that the sheets were stained with blood and the blankets had multiple cigarette burns. When I asked for new sheets the front desk told me no or to call back later as there were no staff. I said no and insisted on new sheets and there was a long pause and they made me come to the front desk with the stained sheets. They interrogated me as to why I didn't report it earlier. He also checked to make sure the stains wasn't fresh. I said I left the room and just got back and into bed now as I didnt want to spend the whole night in the room. They did have staff to give new sheets, but they were wearing old nursing gowns, which really gives credit to my previous statement about a hospice care vibe.

Everything is stained, peeling and gross. None of the ice machines were working and the AC made a loud hum that only went away when you slapped the machine. The bed made a loud ka-thunk when you laid down. The pool smelled like mildew and there were ceiling tiles that looked like they could fall on you at any moment as they were hanging down. You had to go up a flight of emergency exit stairs and then back down to to get to the pool as the front door was under construction which seemed like it had been for awhile.

The shower, while having ok pressure, was complicated to turn on and the bathtub had brown stains.

The price online was 59$ but apparently after taxes and fees its 85?

Just don't stay here. I wish I hadn't. The previous 1 star reviews...
