I'm not usually one to complain but this was probably my worst stay with Choice Hotels. So I used my free night with my points and I picked this hotel due to the awesome reviews it had. When checking in I was told they needed my debit card just in case anything was damaged but I was not told they were going to charge $150 on my card until I checked out which wouldn't be released back to my account until 3 days later... I had NO extra spending money due to this. And for it to be $150 for the small room we had is just nuts. I would have never paid that. When I was checking out and talked to the lady about the issue, she was nothing but RUDE. Also, when we first got up to our room the toilet was messed up. My boyfriend called down to the front desk and told them the issue, their reply was "Do you want to come get a plunger and see if that works?" Since we are customers that shouldn't have been an issue we had to fix ourselves. He goes downstairs and got the plunger (which was in a wet dirty bag with a wet towel in it) and he plunged the toilet, it worked well enough for the night. They also had not restocked a few things in our bathroom before we arrived. Since it was a short stay and it was hard to get anyone's attention at the desk to begin with, we didn't bother trying to complain and deal with more rude staff members. I hate being that person complaining, but this was a total waste of my rewards night and...
Read moreWell first off nick the manager is a joke. He is a racist greety lying cop calling theif. We stayed there for three weeks after spending almost 3 grand and the day we had to leave he decides to flip a switch and acuse me of stealing their pillows and blankets because he had nothing better to do and was mad because i wasnt going to pay the high rates he wanted for the couple days, so when leaving he sees my pillows and blankets on my cart and comes outside and grabs my cart and starts yelling and acusing me of stealing their stuff. Now mind you me and my girlfriend both work for hotels so we have a bunch of pillows and a couple blankets so we didnt steal from them. Anyways he lied saying there was eight pillows supposed to be in the room for a room with one bed and two blankets so he called the cops and they made us give them our pillows and blankets to them. He is a greedy liar with nothing better to do then scam people of their own belongings. Never stay at this hotel. It was not a very dirty hotel. Was updated and was clean. The upgraded room was a plus. But the staff are all fake and liars. This is by far one of the worst hotel to go to. I spent way to much to get called a theif and have to give them my belongings. Do not go there unless you want a manager to be nice at first then all of a sudden call you a theif and...
Read moreI have stayed here before and was satisfied. It was a reasonable rate for a decent hotel. This stay was the worst I have had in years though. It started with things I would normally just report on leaving, broken face plate on outlet at desk exposing electrical connections, paint peeling in shower, tobacco smoke smell in the hall, hot tub jets not working. All signs of neglect but nothing bad enough to make me leave.
Then the second night there was a domestic disturbance in the room next door. Started about 8 pm with screaming and door slamming. Went on for hours and finally ended about an hour after the police showed up. The people were allowed to stay and the next night was a repeat performance. In two nights I only got about 3 hours of sleep total. There were no apologies from management no offers to reduce the rate or any other type of compensation. The management simply failed all around. I realize things happen but when they do management should at least try to make things right. This manager should go back to a Knights inn or some other very low end hotel where his lack of concern would fit in.
I really like the location for business travel, there are several places to eat within walking distance. I will be going to this area several times a year for the foreseeable future and will now be staying...
