Front desk lacked communication upon arrival. My husband had to ring the bell for her to come down to the front desk. She stated the rooms will be ready for check-in around 3:30pm but had us wait while she walked across the street to see if our room was ready. We didn't get our room close to 5pm b/c it still needed new bedsheets. I was able to peep into our room and had to tell the front desk and the maid to change the sheets because it clearly had big stains on them! Gross! The room needed a lot of updating. It smelled funny. The bathroom was small, the shower was small and the bathroom floor was coming up. It was some cheap linoleum. I will NEVER book here again with my family. The walkway to go upstairs to the second floor felt unsafe. It is strictly wood. Nothing else. It felt like we were walking on eggshells, scared that we might fall through. The only thing we enjoyed was the vouchers they gave us for the Lakeside Beach and there was a concert going on across the street so we were able to enjoy the music. I am disappointed in myself for not doing a thorough check on this hotel even if it was only for one night. And the cost? It was expected around this time of the year. But the quality of this hotel? POOR. Like, negative whatever number you want to put there. If you have the budget to find another hotel, go with the other hotel. This is only good if you don't care for amenities and only to crash for the night. But for family,...
Read moreExcellent place to stay right in the heart of South Shore Lake Tahoe! Close to Heavenly Ski Resort; Beach; Shopping Centers; Restaurants; Harrah's & Harvey's Casinos. Owner and staff our exceptionally customer service oriented, super nice! Enjoy the beautiful serene surroundings of the beach or walking/bike trails. Walk to the beach for fun in the sun, in the evenings walk to the Casino theatres see a show, dining or have fun at your luck at the game tables. I sure enjoyed my stay to relax spending time away from work/home. Rooms are very clean, beds are very comfortable & cozy. I looked at some recently remodeled rooms, as the owner is updating rooms/suites during his slow time of the season. They have fully equipped kitchenettes w/free standing stove/oven; microwave; Flat screen TV; some w/gas log fireplaces, (I enjoyed the flickering fire light in my room). Who would want to eat out, just relax! I was recently there on March 17th, St Patrick's day my birthday w/lots of snow/skiers! The best part is the price point! You have a very nice room, in an excellent location for an unbeatable price! You'll be happy you stayed at the Ceder Inn & Suites. I'm looking forward to spending some summer nights at the Ceder Inn! Thank you William & staff for your exceptional...
Read moreI made a mistake in booking a non-refundable room for family of 4. After numerous phone call and email attempts to fix the situation with bookings.com and hotel, I heard nothing back from hotel management. That was extremely unprofessional and rude of them to disregard consumer concerns. At least confirm no refund or partial refund! Customer service is extremely poor and rooms are crowded. Our double door literally open to the first bed. We were given only 1 bath towel. Like seriously? I've traveled a lot but to sleep and given only 1 towel for a family of four is not OK. There was no coffee machine, clock, tissue box, and phone to call front desk. With no AC, we had to open our hotel door in the middle of the night to let in cool air just so we can sleep through the night because windows are blocked to open all the way out. Location is fairly close to the casino and beach and could've been a quiet area to sleep. Unfortunately, we spent the night away with partying neighbors right upstairs and next door who were drunk, yelling, stomping, and loud music until 3 am in the morning. Though the beds were ok, my kids and I didn't have a good night sleep here at all. If you're looking to relax and sleep well, find elsewhere. It's not worth the money...
