What a disappointment!

Despite the hype surrounding this beach destination, our experience fell short of expectations. Here's a critical review highlighting our concerns:

Overhyped and Overpriced: One of the main disappointments we encountered at Lakeside Beach was the entrance fee. Charging $25 per person for beach access felt excessive and unjustifiable. The price did not align with the overall value and quality of the experience. Although the fee decreases to $10 per person after 5 pm, it remains unreasonably high for what the location has to offer.

Lackluster Location: In terms of its location, Lakeside Beach failed to impress. While it does provide a view of Lake Tahoe, we found that there are numerous other spots in the vicinity that offer more breathtaking vistas for witnessing the stunning sunset. Considering the high entrance fee, we expected a more exceptional setting that would truly showcase the natural beauty of the area.

Better Alternatives for Sunset: If you're seeking a memorable sunset experience at Lake Tahoe, we recommend exploring alternative locations. There are plenty of nearby beaches and viewpoints that offer equally stunning sunsets, often without the hefty entrance fee. Doing a bit of research or asking locals for recommendations can lead you to more rewarding options.

Lack of Amenities: Another aspect that added to our disappointment was the lack of amenities provided at Lakeside Beach. While the beach itself is pleasant enough, there were limited facilities available, such as restroom facilities and convenient access to refreshments or dining options. These missing amenities detracted from the overall comfort and convenience of our visit. There are far better options like sand harbor beach,...

Annoying sounds talking to you from inanimate objects in the trees. The hotel, the state, city, someone installed these super annoying cameras that talk to you and inform you that you’re being recorded every five minutes. Completely unnecessary. It is extremely annoying hearing some thing repeat over and over and over that is talking to you. Furthermore, the fact that it says hi is extremely frustrating because it’s not a person talking to you. It’s some pre-recorded computer voice. Not even a human. Whoever thought this was a good idea should be subjected to have that camera record them working in their place of work all day long hearing the same voice repeat over and over and over throughout their entire work shift. It is not fair that someone has decided to treat the guest less then people. It creates nor a peaceful or pleasant environment. It completely takes away from you enjoying the atmosphere and the scenery. Someone needs to be held accountable for this decision and installing such a hindrance on a...

Rating a 3 due to price. Plus you pay full price even if you want walk down and look at the beach or even stay for an hour. $25 adults $15 kids $10 beach chair $15 lounger $30 umbrella Old dock in front of half of beach causes water to have more algae sit at beach. So only half of beach is somewhat clear water.

By 11 o’clock women’s bathroom had no seat covers in any of the bathrooms. Handicap bathroom sink did not work. They other 2 sinks, one was also broke.

Overall dirty, but not disgusting. For the price I would expect it to be immaculate. Especially when we were only the fourth person on the beach that I could see. it was a Monday on the beach.

Does have playground and volleyball court and picnic area. You can rent skidoo and other beach craft water toys.

But if you just want to chill at a beach go 9 minutes away to Nevada Beach where you pay $15 per car. Nevada beach is a much larger beach and clearer water. They have picnic tables just no water toys or...
