I'll be the first to admit that I love the food at Zupas, but their processes are so inefficient. It is weird when you go somewhere and they ask "what did you order for yourselves today?!" more times than you'd like to repeat. It shouldn't be too hard to use a ticket system or simply remember orders so the customer isn't inconvenienced in having to answer this question multiple times. We've also done the online ordering three times. Once, they forgot to put in an entire main dish and they told me I could come in to pick it up despite the fact that I ordered delivery. Having to leave and pick up an item after getting delivery defeats the purpose of delivery...They acknowledged this so instead I asked for a partial refund for the missing soup. They said they couldn't do that. They said I could come in and say "Kiara said I could have a free meal or dessert or something" to make up for the error. That put me in a very odd spot as a customer, as it is uncomfortable to enter a restaurant and ask for free food. So, I never did it. Today when ordering online, I had 2 soups on my order, but they gave me the wrong ones. Again, I love the food at Zupas but they should strongly consider re-working their processes to be more efficient, more reliable, and less awkward. UPDATE 6/4/20: I'm continually unimpressed by this location. I ordered curbside pickup (cuz Rona') tonight for 7:30. I called upon arriving and was told my order was getting finished right then and that it would be out in a minute. 10 minutes later and still nothing, so I called back. I'm told it will be brought out when it's ready. Another 10 minutes, now 20 minutes past my pickup time, and my husband decided to just go inside to get it. When he gets to the counter and informs the employee of the name on the order, he's faced with a dirty look and an annoyed tone in response. I get a delay if they were busy, but when there's only 2 people in line, it doesn't make much sense to wait longer in my car than people going through the line. They need to start training their employees the way Chick Fil A does...they're never rude and...

Absolutely WORST customer service and professionalism I've EVER had to deal with! We hosted a baby shower on a Saturday and did a couple Small orders with EXACTLY the SAME things in ALL 12 of the plates. We ordered Chicken Enchilada Chili with Tortilla strips, sour cream, and cheddar cheese with the Ultimate Grilled cheese sandwich on wheat. When we went to pick up the order it had already been paid for online, they told us we still owed a bit more and we were in a hurry so we just paid it and grabbed our order and looked through it. Well they had added someone else's order to ours and thats what the extra charge was, so we went up to the counter to correct it, they said they got it fixed by refunding what they charged. Well we took our order home and started the baby shower only to discover they had not given us cheese in half or that they forgot sour cream in others and only 2 of the orders had the tortilla strips in them!! Then after the shower we checked bank statements, and they had charged us TWICE for our order PLUS an additional $14.05 on top of that! So we called them to get the mistakes fixed, they said they would get it taken care of and call us back... they never did.... I called the next day again they said they would get it fixed and call me back....again they didn't so I called them back..they said they'd get it fixed... again nothing. Today I called them for the 4th time, their excuse, "we couldn't find the order" I GAVE THEM THE DANG ORDER NUMBER. Today they finally have started processing our refunds to fix things. It has taken us 4 phone calls over 3 days to get any progress, and we didn't even get the correct...

Got sick a few years back at a cafe zupas and didn’t want to go back since… I was starting to feel a tad under the weather so I went with my girlfriend to get chicken noodle soup and she wanted to go here.

Surprise surprise - I’m laying in bed nauseous realizing that I told her ‘my soup is barely warm - it couldn’t have gotten this cooled off in 5-6 minutes..right?’ , hers was the lobster bisque and was steaming hot.

I look it up, and apparently ‘clear soup’ (aka chicken noodle soup) is supposed to be served ‘near boiling’ , because of safety risk due to bacteria growth and can make people sick..

So now, I’m not only dealing with feeling under the weather, but also have stomach aches and wanting to vomit because they don’t know how to keep soup at the correct temps?! Half of their menu are soups?? It’s one of their specialties….

Yet again, they’ve reminded me why I stopped going there years ago. Order at your own risk.

Sidenote; we ordered my girlfriend a sandwich and moved down the line to someone who just wiped the counters as we stood there. They sat in in front of us staring for a good 30 seconds (not exaggerating) without saying a word - we had to ask to figure out what to do next.. 8 people running around in the front handling sandwich and soup orders - staff needs reducing and someone’s gotta be doing temp checks on...

OMG. OK. Where do I start? Never even heard of this place. There are none of these Cafe's South of the Mason-Dixon line. Darn it! After our 2-hour and 15 minute flight from DFW into Salt Lake City, we were on our way to Moab. And stopped at this Zupa's location and fell in love. If we take pictures of what we ordered, it's got to be good. And yeah, we took pictures. They have an app that rewards you as you dine there. Honestly, I downloaded the app just in case we stopped here again on our way back to the airport on Saturday and it was lunch time (which unfortunately did not happen). Problem is, I still have the app installed on my phone and get the reminders of very freshly made and prepared food that I wish had a chain down here in Fort Worth! Complementary chocolate covered strawberry per person was a really nice touch and super delicious. Zupas, Hit me up if you want to open a location in Fort Worth Texas! 😜.... (Only half kidding, or am I?). We were pleasantly pleasantly surprised. Restaurant was clean as a whistle... You could have eaten off the floor. Excellent experience.

The food tastes great, they have a pretty broad selection, and I feel healthy eating here. But, holy cow who knew that soup and sandwiches could be so expensive. I would totally come more often if it could be less expensive, otherwise it’s a quarter of the price to just make it yourself. It’s also pretty crowded because lots of people like the place. Other than that, if you don’t want to cook and have money to shell out for good tasting healthy food, Zupas is a great place. Their try two special is really the best way to maximize your dollar. They struggle with getting their mobile orders correct though. We've had items incorrect many times and one time we had blue plastic mixed in with our sandwich. They now have a chicken sandwich, trying to compete with everyone else's chicken sandwiches. It's $9, which is waaaay higher than everyone else's. It is decently flavored, but they don't have friers so it's prepared off-site and reheated in a convection oven and it comes through in the breading. Also, big bad news is it gave me indigestion.

Update: I got a reply from the owner saying due to an update, they couldn't remove the tipping feature in their credit card system. (?) So his solution was to remove the sign. I don't think he got the point that the majority of customers don't want to be coerced into tipping at fast food restaurants... The food was pretty decent. I have one major qualm. The card reader asks for a tip, which I take great exception to at a fast food restaurant, especially with how insistent the machine is. I certainly don't need a guilt trip just to get food. Then, when I get my drink (myself) 30 seconds later, I see this sign. It's an out-and-out lie. I see no reason to go to fast food restaurants any more if they insist on trying to guilt you into a tip. With the fast food prices nowadays, I can go to a sit down restaurant for the same amount of money and get actual table service that deserves a tip. Bottom line, Cafe Zupas needs to quit lying to it's customers. I will not be back based on that one issue alone.
