I recently had the opportunity, to bring my fiance to this fine ice cream establishment, we were actually waiting for our Little Caesars pizza, so we had a little bit of time, and I always enjoy taking her to New American experiences, as my wife to be is from Columbia the country. Just in the very beginning as you begin to walk into the restaurant, you see a canoe upside down. So this began my explaining to Maria the Name of this family cream shop and it's relation to the canoe. Entering the store you experience a very warm atmosphere of wonderful decorations, leading to the main area of beautifully kept ice cream display cases with well labeled in store made flavors. So knowing only about 10 minutes until pizza time, I chose a single scoop of their Nutella Peanut Butter Cheesecake. If you haven't guessed by now, Yes, my choice was absolutely DELICIOUS !!. Prior to this review I went back to TIPACANOE, as I couldn't remember the full name of my DELICIOUS choice, upon meeting the 2 owners and explaining of how my ice cream sat in my freezer for another 2 days before Maria had reminded me of its presence, and how it was just as delicious two days prior, it was explained to me a little of their in-store manufacturing process. I Couldn't Be Happier. So if you find yourself in the area of Hwy 19 and Cortez Blvd in Spring Hill or even further away and you want the Absolutely Best Ice cream Ever, come on by, they are in the Winn-Dixie and Bank of America shopping center next to Little Caesars Pizza. In closing it's Great to mention that we no longer have to travel to Tampa, St.Petersburg, or even New York, for Truly Homemade ( Creamiest Ever...
Read moreI wish I could click an “off the charts” button for Tipacanoe Creamery because the service I just received from there was exactly that…OFF THE CHARTS 📈!!! This all started on a Sunday night at 10:12pm, to be exact, when I was sitting on my couch doing my evening scroll through Facebook and I see a flavor alert for Butterscotch oatmeal cream pie 🤤 To my dismay, it’s too late, I’m hours late to this announcement, they are now closed for the night, I know they are closed on Mondays, I work all day Tuesday, so I assume the odds are against me for being able to try this flavor! Boy was I wrong!! I had originally commented on their post that I was bummed that I did not see this flavor post until so late on Sunday and in enters Chrissy to the chat, literally, I received a personal message from a staff member named Chrissy telling me that if I was available and in the area, she had went ahead and put a scoop aside for me and it would be waiting in the freezer! I wrote her back and told her I would be unable to get it until Wednesday if that was okay and she said “no problem” and made sure to get it into a brown bag and put my name on it for me 😊 I haven’t been this excited for a brown paper sack since I used to pack my lunches with my Dad growing up!! This was freaking awesome 🤩 This scoop could’ve been sold to anyone, I mean, their ice cream speaks for itself, but this was put aside for me!! This was SERVICE!!! This was ice cream served with LOVE!!! This is caring about people and making the customer feel like FAMILY!!! This is what makes Tipacanoe more than about ice cream and I’m here for it all!! Kudos to Chrissy and the whole...
Read moreTried this place a few weeks ago after finding out that my current favorite ice cream spot in town was gonna be under new ownership. I’m always hesitant when new ownership takes over a place that I love and visit regularly. This ice cream is phenomenal. What I look for in a good ice cream is creaminess. I don’t like a icy texture where you can feel chunks of ice in the ice cream. This ice cream is some of the creamiest I’ve ever had. The only downside for me personally is that I never know if there’s gonna be a flavor there that I like or not. I have been there twice and both times there wasn’t something particularly like peanut butter, which is normally my go to my old favorite spot had a peanut butter and jelly which was my absolute favorite and still is. However, under the new ownership, the size of the scoop and the value of the service and experience just isn’t where it used to be. Honestly, I prefer the texture of the ice cream here, but I do wish that they had a peanut butter or a peanut butter and jelly type flavor that was a regular on the menu. I totally understand why they change their menu regularly so it’s not gonna keep me from going as the ice cream is truly worth it and it kinda gets me out of my shell to try...
