While the salesman was nice enough, I could tell right away that he took us straight to the mattress that would get him the best commission within the mattress category in which we were looking. But that aside, we ended up simply not liking the mattress. No big deal, as we were told multiple times while purchasing that we had a 120 night sleep trial to return it. However it was not disclosed to us that there was a return and pickup fee included in the sleep trial. The paperwork read that there is a 10% restocking fee and a $100 pickup fee. OK, I guess I have to deal with that, even though the salesman did not tell us. When I called to set up the return, I spoke to the manager. As soon as I said I wanted to return a mattress, he sharply cut me off and said "RETURN OR EXCHANGE?!" I said "return." He responds with "WHY DON'T YOU WANT TO EXCHANGE?!" and proceeded to basically scold me for not wanting to give them more business. After I finally convinced him that a return is what I wanted, since we already ordered a replacement from elsewhere, he began the paperwork and started saying that the restocking fee was 20%. I said to him that I had paperwork in front of me that read 10%. He still had the nerve to argue that and said that 20% is their new policy and that it had recently changed. Didn't matter to him what my sales agreement read. So I argued it further and he finally decided to be so kind as to hold up their end of the agreement, and did so as if he was doing me a favor. We set a pickup date. After all that, I was relieved that it would be gone and over soon. The day came when it was to be picked up and I never got a call to schedule the time. So I waited, thinking maybe they'll still come and made sure I was around all day. Guess what, never came. I called the store and inquired about it, trying to stay optimistic that maybe they were still on their way. I spoke to the same salesman that sold it to us and when he checked the schedule, he said it was NEVER EVEN PUT IN THE SYSTEM! That damn manager really didn't want to have to give us our money back, even though they still made $400 off of us and were still going to recondition and resell the mattress. The salesman was helpful and apologetic, and set up a new pickup date, which was a week and a half out from the original date. So now, we're stuck with 2 mattresses that are paid for for a total of 2 and a half weeks. This time I get an email confirmation for the return and look it over, and wouldn't you know it, the maths was wrong and we were still being shorted about $67 from our refund. It looked like they were using the current price of the mattress, which was $100 lower than when we got it, along with general calculation errors. I was not even going to try to go through more headache to argue that, so I let it go, knowing that it would soon be over. I will forever tell anyone I can to not shop at this store. I saw many posts on facebook by many others who were also very unhappy, so it seems to be a company thing, not just that location. If you want to keep and get customers, you need to work on CUSTOMER SERVICE. They don't seem to realize why all these up and coming online mattress retailers are putting them out of business when they have better customer service, better prices, free delivery and 100% money...
Read moreI can't say enough wonderful things about our experience at Mattress Firm! My husband and I were out just browsing because we were in the area and we had no intentions of making a purchase just yet. When we went into Mattress Firm we were immediately greeted by Mara who was very happy to show us around and explain all the options that Mattress Firm has to offer. We explained that we were just browsing and Mara was very understanding of this and explained what our options were for the sale they had going as well as what our options may be in the future. Mara was willing to work with us and provide us with such a great deal that we decided we couldn't pass it up! When she ran into trouble with our financing options she turned to Deaubrey who jumped right in to help us figure it all out! It seemed like we hit every road block that we could with technology (which was due to a finance company NOT Mattress Firm) and Deaubrey was very persistent in making it all work out for us including making multiple calls to the finance company to work out the issues. In the meantime throughout this whole experience Mara and Deaubrey assisted many other customers while always making us feel like we were the only ones in the store. They also were more than happy to help entertain our daughter while we tested out different mattresses and went through the finance process offering her a small sqiuishy toy as well as water. Once all was said and done we walked out knowing we got a great deal and made a great purchase! I can't say enough great things about Mara and Deaubrey and the service they provided!
Today our purchase was delivered and the wonderful experience just continued. I was greeted on time by Pedro and another gentleman who was helping him (I did not catch his name). They both were very respectful of my home and worked hard to ensure a safe delivery. They worked to remove our old mattress and box spring and set up our new base and mattress. They assisted in moving our old frame and made sure to lift it and not slide it as to not scratch our flooring. They set our new bed up exactly where I asked and made sure that the height was perfect for us. Before leaving Pedro made sure to touch base with me and allow me to try out all the features of our new base and ensure that it was set up to my satisfaction. The whole process took them maybe an hour at most and they ensured that everything was safely delivered, my home was kept safe from scratches and bangs, and most importantly that we were 100% satisfied with our delivery!
Mattress Firm has a great team of people and we will definitely be coming back for our future needs because of the service that we experienced! Finding a great deal is always a plus but without excellence service it can still ruin a buying experience. Read moreI was so happy with Jenny at mattress firm sales person. She had me try several beds and the adjustable frame. She was pleasant and easy to talk to. It was by far the best experience with mattress firm in the past 2 years. The first bed I bought was a single bed. Which I was happy with but it was too small. I went back to mattress firm for a full size bed with adjustable frame. I am in love with this bed and frame. I returned a few days later to pay off my mattress while there a young man helped me chose a sheet set. He recommended the purple sheet set that fit my bed. He let me feel the sheets and puck out a color that I wanted. They fit my bed perfectly. They stretch and do not slip off while I'm using the adjustable settings. My only regret is the color. I should have picked a lighter shade. But the selections they had I wasnt happy with. I will go back and purchase another set in the future. Highly recommend the sheet set for anyone that is thinking of purchasing a new mattress
. Delivery was on time the person's delivered the bed set up the frame to my satisfaction. The delivery and set up was extremely perfect. The men were pleasant and made the height of the frame exactly as I requested. They came in our apartment which had 17 steps they had to climb up with everything. Then I was given a quick guide on how to use the remote. Friendly and efficient gentlemen. I was very pleased with the delivery they came on time set up and left in about 40 minutes. I love Mattress Firm and the store I choose from the past purchase. I would recommend Mattress Frim to everyone. My roommate was also impressed and is looking to buy a new bed mattress.
