I made a reservation through hotels.com . Called before i made the reservation and asked how much for a room, without asking me how many people or what size room said $69. So i booked online for cheaper and went to check inn. I walked in and said i have a reservation for Majors. The assistant manager Arvind [--] said no we have no reservations. I said i booked it online. He said well our internet is down. He then tried calling someone leaving me standing in the lobby why he went outside to use the phone and sat in his van . ||When Mr [--] came in he said okay i got you a 2 bed queens room. Just give me your id and credit card. He then presided to tell me If you give me $10 more dollars i will put you on the first floor. I said no way i can go upstairs and so can my kids i have with me. I went out to get my children one whom is an adult and one who is 12 years old. He stopped us saying wait wait like my 12 year old was an adult.||After checking in The internet wasn't working so i went to the front desk and spoke with a gentleman who said Mr [--] will be back in 20 minutes and you can ask him. I went back to my room and turned the TV on and it said we had a tornado warning for counties around us. I wasn't sure what county we were in so I went out to the desk to ask. Nobody was there for about 10 minutes so i went back to my room and waited for about 5 minutes. Went back out there and Mr Arvind [--] was back. I asked him what county we are in . He said I DONT KNOW. Why? I responded there are tornado warnings out and i was trying to find out if we are in the path and needed to take cover. He said loudly I don't care What do you want me to do save you? I said no just tell me the county we are in so i can be prepared. He said he doesn't know. An African American gentleman employee by the name of Mike (I believe) walked by and overheard and said miss i can help you. Took me to a computer and told me the county and showed me the Doppler and told me he would come tell me if we were in the direct path and needed to take shelter. Very nice gentleman who was very courteous.||Went back to my room and looked down at the floor as i was walking in and there on the floor is a DEAD BIRD!! So i started inspecting the room even more and came across wrappers and trash under the bed and someones hat laying on the floor on the far side of the bed . Dead flies in the window pain. The handle and door plate was filthy and i wiped it with a washcloth and it was GREEN!. Yes the door handle and plate was green. Dead leaves on the floor in two spots. There was a penny on the floor, holes in the wall in the bathroom and food crumbs in the dresser drawer. The air conditioner in our room leaked onto the carpet and was soaked when we woke up. The phone rang in the room so i picked it up and what do you know, Broken, caller couldn't hear me at all. I took pics and went out to ask Why on earth is there a dead bird in my room and trash under bed and hat on floor and holes in the walls and filthy door plates and handles and if they could tell me who called because phone is filthy and broken. After it started raining it was like a flood in the lobby and the hallways. The entrance to the lobby literally had an inch of water and no signs or anything like a bucket in that location. ||Mr Arvind [--] presided to tell me well you have been here 4 hours, then he changed to 3 hours then 2 because he had known that it was just over 1 hour. He then said that I put all the trash under bed and filthy the door handle and then scolded me for using his washcloth to wipe door handle saying you ruined MY washcloth. I told him it needed wiped and i wasn't using my clothes.||He then called me a pain i the butt! Asked me why my husband isn't handling this. Very sexist remarks made by this man. I asked him what his name was and he said hes not telling me. I said you are in customer service and you wont give me your name ? He said Im NOT customer Service Im front desk. Another guest came out because he heard MR Arvind [--] was yelling and cursing at me at this point. He handed me Mr [--] business card and said there is his name. He made my wife cry. He really enjoys making women and children upset.||Mr [--] then said you just leave and i give you money back. I said great and started walking away and turned around and said OK give me my money and we will leave. He said no i wont. You didn't pay me. Another employee came to me and said that hes sorry but Mr [--] tells people that all the time but will not give back money. ||At this point i went pack to my room and called hotels.com who then presided to call the hotel to see they could rectify the situation. Hotels.com called me back and said im sorry miss but he cursed me out and hung up on me. ||They promised a swimming pool which there wasn't one, The room was Filthy , i was treated poorly my the assistant manger Mr [-]] who told me he dont give a f*ck if i call corporate and the health department.||We saw an Employee spreading bags of dog food right out by the side door which if you are facing the building its on the right end. we asked what he was doing and we were told that he is feeding raccoons otherwise they will get into the hotel. So they are feeding wild animal right next to the door. Im talking 2 feet! The air conditioner in our room leaked onto the floor. Very disappointing. Never been treated like this anywhere that i am paying money to stay ..||State Mandate for masks yet manager and front clerk who came in later...
Read moreMy husband and I came in to visit family on a last minute decision, we were running on 3 hours of sleep and all the other surrounding hotels were booked up, and for good reason..|| The check in was pretty smooth and the clerk was really nice, we go to the room, and it was full of someone else’s things!!! Thankfully no one was there so I run back up to the front desk to inform him that the room he gave us was taken and I needed a new room right away… He then blames it on the previous employee that they didn’t inform him that the room was taken and went down the hall to look for an empty room… He comes back gets us a new card and takes us to the new room. Everything seemed okay at first, but after quickly inspecting everything we noticed none of the counter tops had been wiped off and there was what seemed like salt just scattered on the desk top.. Weary of everything but being absolutely exhausted we just wanted to lay down and finally rest. Second issue we came across was the toilet leaked and didn’t flush properly, which was just a huge annoyance. We finally go to lay down and My husband goes to adjust his pillow and there is a mummified cricket under his pillow!!! We wanted to leave but we were so exhausted we decided to make due… So we ripped the rest of the bedding off and had to lay on the bed with no blankets or pillows, the bed was so uncomfortable… After a horrible night of tossing and turning I felt so filthy and was hoping we could just shower and leave.. Again, nope.. Turned on the water and it came out BROWN with dead bugs in the water… It made my sick… about that time my husband informed me that he found more gross things around the room, from full on spiders nest, beer tabs shoved into the ac/heating unit and Cob webs streaming from all the lights… At this point it’s 6am and I’ve just had enough and we got dressed and went to check out, we didn’t even get to properly do that! Got up to the front desk and the employee was asleep in a chair in the back office, not even up at the desk. I just threw our room card on the desk and left. Read moreThe absolute worst stay we have ever had. This place should be shut down. There are at least 10 cats roaming in and out of the property. Including having complete access to the continental breakfast bar area. The outside doors do not lock or have key code only access - so anyone in the world can get in. The hallways, stairways and elevator had not been swept in what looked like decades. Absolutely filthy. Pool. Nope it was in total disrepair and shut down. Only two towels in the room. Zero washrags, even when asked. The TV didn't work, and someone had to come into our room to "fix it". We were told the "maintenance man" lived there - yet when this guy came in our room to fix it, he said he wasn't even the maintenance man, and his wife is who worked the front desk. He said that they had lived there for the past 3 years - in the hotel. Unnerving to say the least. No iron in the room. Refrigerator was so old it didn't even keep anything cold. No coffee pots. We were in a nonsmoking room - yet the entire place smelled like old stale cigarette smoke. There were clearly ashes on the floor in our room. No toilet seats. The room had been painted at least 4 times and every color was still visible. The jacuzzi was cracked and when we turned it on, it had a million gnats in it. Disgusting! The ceiling had apparently leaked, and the fix was to place a piece of drywall over it and paint it. Then we found someone's used socks under our bed. No lamps in the room. Just absolute total filth. I could go on and on. It was truly an awful, run down place and I would tell everyone...
