About 3 years ago, this Best Western was renovated, so it is modern and cheerful with nice hotel furnishings. For a breakfast in the COVID-era, it was nice - several cereal selections (Mini Wheat, Corn Flakes, Raisin Bran) in containers you could take back to your room, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, and a variety of package fruit cups, packaged muffins, and make your own waffle.
There is a washer and dryer you can pay for. Vending machine with snacks and sodas at the end of the left side of the hallway. There is an indoor pool and small gym. There is a Walmart, shopping mall, Dennys and Cracker Barrell down the street.
Rooms have a microwave, good size fridge, and a Keurig coffee maker with 4 cups of coffee and creamer/sugar/Sweet n' Low type sweetener.
Bathroom has a fancy mirror with lighting from behind and serves as a good night light. Soaps, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hair dryer. No shower cap.
Room 123 is a handicap accessible room with two queen beds. It is located next to the side entrance which has one handicap parking space, so it is very convenient to enter although I did not notice a handicapped door opener, so it may be hard if you are in a wheel chair as there is the outside door, laundry area, then an inner door to get through.
In addition to the desk and comfortable desk chair, there was an easy chair. There was a shower chair that was under the sink. The shower head has two levels on a pole - one for standing, and one lower. The room had a number of grab bars which also made good towel racks.
The front desk sign says no housekeeping, but someone did come in to replace our towels on day 3 of our stay without our asking. No beds were made or trash emptied, but we did get new towels.
I interacted with four front desk receptionists. They were usually behind the wall, so I would call out and they would come around. They were all very pleasant and helpful. I think one out of the four wore a mask. One receptionist said she was yelled at by guests for wearing a mask. I did not see any guests wearing masks.
This Best Western was clean, attractive, comfortable, and an excellent value for the money especially as a Best Western Rewards member. As a Best Western Rewards Diamond level member, this was one of the better Best Westerns I have stayed at and I was delighted with our stay and would...
Read moreI’ve stayed here twice, once to see how the rooms were in March prior to my family and I coming in July. Breakfast is fine, room is acceptable. However the fold out couch bed had dirty sheets and trash under it. Had to call the office to get it fixed. Excuses were made. They also wanted me to change out dirty sheets? Really?
But then the worst part, they do not clean the room daily or even weekly apparently. We stayed there 6 days room wasn’t cleaned or restocked once. We had so much trash in our room and of course our five year old does five year old things crumbs etc.
Another excuse was made that the do not disturb sign was on one of the days (when I spoke to them on day 4), yes but what about the other 4 (it was off and we were out of the room). When I asked about cleaning the room their answer was that the maids didn’t have rooms to clean that day and were now doing deep cleaning (one has to question this considering what I found in the couch bed).
Staff is nice and they will try to blame their maids but the maids are merely following directives from management. Management has made the decision to in some way cut costs not to clean or restock rooms during a stay.
This concept of not cleaning rooms daily is really unacceptable from a Best Western at over $90 a night. I’m also a platinum member and stayed for 6 nights in March and 6 in July. Total around $1100.
Why is it that the Super 8 down the street for $50 a night cleans their rooms daily? (I’ve stayed there on 3 different trips) yet the $90 a night best western doesn’t?
This was the only hotel on our 4 week 6000 mile trip that has this policy really...
Read moreMy family and i( hubby and two daughters) have traveled out of state numerous times to stay here! Our last trip was to stay through Christmas and it was amazing! There was a beautiful decorated tree in the lobby and a hot cocoa bar! My 9 year old loved that! The room is very spacious ( king suite with a king bed and a sleeper sofa which we decorated for Christmas for our daughters.. nothing unsafe or damaging I might add and I cleaned up everything!) with a nice size bathroom, a microwave and mini fridge, comfy king bed with lots of pillows and a large flatscreen tv, clean towels, pillows and linens ( they always give me extras if I ask) . The pool room is nice and warm and very clean with a lot of clean dry towels, and the water is always warm and clean! They have a nice hot breakfast with a variety of choices, even for kiddos too. Oh and a coin washer and dryer that works excellent! All of the staff we’ve encountered has be most helpful and nice! We one hundred percent...
