I am writing this review with hopes it will make it upon the general managers desk. Last Thursday, I required accommodation near the hospital for a surgical procedure scheduled @6:00 a.m. the following morning. I was happy to have a Best Western next to the Hospital's surgical center (as I could not drive). Upon initiating the reservation, I requested late checkout on the day of the scheduled procedure. The night employee said he would verify the extended checkout time and requested I call him back. I returned the call and was informed he obtained authorization to extend checkout time to 3:00. Delighted, myself and my driver checked in around 11:45. Fast Forward to noon, six hours into surgery. I am taken to a post operative area and told I would be under observation for approximately an hour and a half. Acknowledging , the check out time of my reservation, I called the hotel and spoke to Tonya. I requested that she retrieve two charging devices; one docking station , one Harmon Kardon cord, that we had in the room. She said she could not leave the desk and that missing property was a housekeeping issue. A housekeeping issue, I asked? It is merely 12:30 p.m. the room is still reserved for a remaining two and a half hours. The room should be in the state in which I left it when I departed at 4:15 a.m. A missing property issue? How did she know my property was already not in the room?Tonya became upset, frustrated, and denied my requests to retrieve and leave the chargers at the front desk for my driver. Around 4:00 when we arrived near the hotel, I reached out to them again. Tonya informed me I would have to meet with housekeeping at 6. Next morning, an additional post operative travel and trip to the Best Western with no sign of my property or the docking station of my drivers. Joaquin, the front officer manager, informed me he would investigate. Why was anyone in the room before 3:00 checkout time anyway? It was RESERVED! A followup phone call from Best Western Corporation informed me that this location would not be refunding the $96.00 for my stay nor were they responsible for my lost property. I can understand you are not responsible for my property. However, you are responsible for holding up your side of an agreement a reservation! Hopefully, having employees whom are willing to assist clients needing accommodating (especially during and after medical procedures). I do not think it was asking too much when I called in advance of my check out and asked that someone go get the two devices. Apparently, this location has lost its once customer...
Read moreI booked a room here at the Best Western in Sugar Land for a function the following day in Rosenberg. I'm really happy that the closer rooms were all booked because I think I came out the winner here! Upon arrival I checked in at the front desk and was greeted by one of the most friendly people at the front desk! Hey name was Toyah and she was probably the most outgoing person I've ever encountered upon check in anywhere!!! She was just as sweet and friendly as she could be and was very helpful and informative! She got my info, and gave me my room card and gave directions to the elevator. She also informed me that breakfast was served starting at 6:00am! I gathered my items and headed for the elevator to the 3rd floor. Upon entering, I found the room very spacious and well laid out! Two queen beds, although it was only me, I was able to lay all my things out on the other bed. There was a place to hang your clothes and also an iron if you needed one. The bath was spacious with a nice counter and a hair dryer on the wall close to the light switches. There was a room size refrigerator and freezer in the top for your food and drinks. There was a cabinet built around and over the refrigerator with a nice little Keurig Coffee maker and four Keurig coffee cups of Breakfast Blend for your use!!! I loved that part! If I had known about the Keurig I would have brought my own! The TV was located so as you could turn it toward either bed and had DirecTv with most channels! Since moving to East Texas I've always missed 13 Eyewitness News Weather and I was able to see the evening and morning news cast!! I loved it!! Beaumont stations for whatever reason don't have morning news on weekends and I really miss being able to watch the news in the morning on weekends. The beds were very nice with plenty of pillows! It was also very quiet here and I slept really great which is something I normally struggle with away from home. I didn't here!!! I woke up once or twice and had the feeling I had been asleep for a long time! It was nice to look at the time and realize I had three more hours of sleep, and sleep I did!! When I did get up, I was able to get my shower, get dressed and go down just in time for the breakfast area to start serving! They had a great selection to choose from, so I got just enough to get me by until lunch later! I went back up and got my things together and dropped my card in the box on the way out! I really enjoyed my stay here and will more than likely opt to stay here next time I'm...
Read moreArriving May 12, 2024 (about 4ish pm) I noticed a young man sitting by the Front Entrance so I parked outside of the Veranda. I acknowledged the young adult and proceeded in to check costs and availability. The young Lady provided all and I started to check the room. I noticed another car entering the Entrance area and I decided to move my vehicle. As I headed past the desk the young asked where I was going and I provided “to move Trk)….Surprisingly she said not to do that and the Marine/Roughneck living inside of me started to answer and I stopped me/him to provide instead “there is a Lady in the other car and they may need to move their car” mine complicating the drive thru.||||I didn’t think much about this until 9:00 pm when my truck parked across the Parking Lots farthest (fm my rooms visibility) location that a blk f150/2016 entered the spot next to my Trk which could handle a Honda Accord but not a Trk. I blinked my lights to let whoever know as I hadn’t seen anyone leave the Trk. Around 9:45 pm a young lady who accessed the Office was returning to the Trk. By 10:30 I blinked my lights again and the Trk finally drove off. ||Next morning it became evident that someone had been in the truck and attempted to siphon gas, a complicated job to perform on a Silverado or any later model truck. Since my gauge showed no loss I was relieved until I realized the Gas Door had been leaned on and was now broken.||Summary this Best Western Parking Lot is being preyed upon by some group. The communication between the individuals and the Desk Clerk/Employee (possibly) seem questionable. Considering the initial check in activity provided. ||||The next day I moved to the Springhill Suites by Marriott in Rosenberg TX, right down the Street fm this Best Western and found the Answer to all my traveling Americans dreams.||The Hotel has 5 Stories surrounded by a meticulously maintained Property. The Check In Floor is open and beautifully decorated. I met all the Staff while spending 3 Days there and each Lady was friendly, attentive and ready to provide all necessary requests of we Travelors! I will access the Springhill Suites Marriot website to complete this 5 Star Review of one of the finest Hotels I have visited! (Open Parking Lot with no bad people upset about Bidens’ promise)||Thanks,||||Benji||funny old guy||||(PS: same price as Best Western Sugarland utilizing Triple A, Veteran...
