Brick House Tavern + Tap — Restaurant in Sugar Land

Ordered steak and egg with roasted potatoes. Steak was supposed to be well done, and was literally bleeding. The potatoes had absolutely no seasoning and were dried out. I called immediately and spoke to Heather (manager) and she was very nice and apologetic. I mentioned that I would bring the food back to show her and she said that would not be necessary. She offered to remake the whole order or a refund the following day. On Saturday I was too sick to get out. I called on Sunday and spoke to Travis (manager) and I was not happy at all. I explained the situtation to him and he seemed as if he did not believe me. I told him I still have the food and will bring it back, and he said "It's just that she didn't leave any notes about this." He said so tell me again what was wrong with the food... and what was wrong with the ribs? Nothing was wrong with my husband's food, I assume she was providing good customer service by indicating that she would replace our whole order. Actually what she said was, "You guys can come in for lunch tomorrow and we will remake your order." He just had underlying tones that screamed "Why would she replace the ribs if nothing was wrong with the ribs." Why? Because your cooks messed up a dinner that my husband I were going to enjoy together and were unable to. To be honest, I was not at all frustrated with this situation until AFTER speaking to Travis. Heather was kind and provided great customer service. I was looking forward to eating there again. We have had good food and service two other times, but now I am looking forward to getting a full refund....

I had a great experience. The service was excellent and the food was equally excellent. We had the pretzels for the appetizer and I had the porkchops. When I tell you good..man they were delicious, melt in your mouth, hint of sweetness, but full of flavor. The onion rings layered on top of the chop was delicious. Not enough...Lol..The twice baked potato was okay. It appeared to have been under the warmer too long and the cheese stuck together like a glob. I couldnt tell what other toppings were on it because it all combined with the cheese. The other dishes we ordered were the lamp burger which was delicious. It was such a meaty burger and very filling. Mac and cheese and chicken nuggets on the kids meal was a nice refreshing dish. The mac and cheese was thankfully not the boxed mac and cheese mix. The serving size could have been a little larger. The kids gobbled down their food. The cocktail drinks were nice, we got a blackberry collins and cocktail drink with a peach puree (sorry don't remember the name). The picture displayed a peach slice but the waitress informed me that it was not included in the drink. The waitress was awesome and very attentive. The manager also stopped by the table to check on us. It was such a nice romantic and calm setting for a Tavern grill. Kid friendly and classy. We will...

Went in and tried to order the Cuban with no mayo. I was told the sandwiches are all pre-mad with mayo already on them. Rather than offer to make one fresh or just change out the bread to fresh bread with no mayonnaise, the manager explained it by comparing their food to the premise sandwiches you buy at a grocery store. “It’s like those pre made sandwiches at the grocery store that have mayo on them and they are good for days.” Be careful what you order, you don’t know when it was actually made, but definitely not cooked to order. Besides that, my 10 year old daughter got the kids burger. It was two small burgers, which would be fine, but the meat was so thin and over cooked that it was crunchy. We ordered her a regular burger and told them they could take the others back to the kitchen. Never once asked what was wrong with it, why there was only one bite taken or why we ordered our daughter a completely separate meal.

Just a disappointing visit when you can’t get a sandwich without mayo because they are pre made god knows how long ago down to the condiments and then the manager compares their food to a pre made grocery store sandwich. Seems he holds the quality of their food in...
