First time I went here during the day, service was excellent, and my woman and I got our food with quality. When we came at night... That Waffle House flipped itself upside down with everything I just said in the beginning.
Service was horrible, we were only greeted by one person and stared by another larger woman that constantly stared at us the whole time we were there. My girlfriend ordered waffles and hashbrowns, and the toast with NO butter, as she's lactose intolerant and allergic to butter. When our food came out, the waffles that were supposed to be in the order was instead a batch of eggs. We were asking if we could get the waffle for free considering that while it was being remade, it took almost 10 minutes for it to be recognized by them that we needed an order of the waffles, even after it was mentioned several times...
We had a feeling the order would be a total disaster, so we ate some of it parked there just to make sure. Long story short, we had to come back in due to the bread having butter when it wasn't supposed to, the eggs not being well made, as my woman found pieces of shells from the egg in there... We wanted our money back, and they gave us just about the dumbest...assed stare I've seen in my life. Then they had an attitude (One of them named Cece) when we were explaining the inconvenience.. What topped it was when we were in the process in getting our money back to my card, Cece asks, "Can I do that?"
Terrible service; people that can't even cook an egg. I can't even see myself coming here if I was...
Read more1/10/17 Came in on a regular morning which was around 6 am. Parking lot is small but was lucky to get into a space. Walking in, no greeting which I am use to if you have ever been to a waffle house. There were plenty of open seating but all tables were dirty with dishes and haven't been removed. It wasnt busy it was just dirty dishes everywhere. The only spot that was available had the chairs sitting on the table. So I decide to wait. I was still not acknowledged by anyone until ten minutes later. The waitress asked if I was being helped "of course not"..."let me clean off an area for you". At this point this was the same waitress that saw me come in and saw me seating for awhile in the waiting area. I finally get a seat at the bar area. Table was wet and she still put a meau down. I get the usual for me which is not complicated, waffle, eggs and a sweet tea. I get the sweet tea place on the table without a straw then she gives me plastic fork which is random because usually used to the regular silverware. She tells me that my waffle be up shortly when I finally get it I'm halfway through eating it and I see a BLACK STRAIGHT HAIR embedded in the waffle. I had enough at this point I still didnt get my eggs because they weren't cooked properly, they were runny and I wanted them over hard and I still didn't receive a straw for my drink. I was over everything, so I had to leave. I have never received such horrible service from any breakfast restaurant. I promised that I will not be back....
Read moreAs a seasoned restaurant reviewer, my experiences span a wide range of establishments, yet the Waffle House on Westshore Blvd in Tampa, Florida, holds a special place in my dining chronicles. The service here is a delightful departure from the norm, infusing the quintessential Waffle House charm with an unexpected flair of attentiveness.
One employee, Angelo, is the epitome of exemplary service. His approach to hospitality is nothing short of remarkable, making patrons feel not just served, but genuinely cared for. Angelo's attention to detail and his ability to anticipate the needs of diners before they even speak is a rare find in the bustling diner scene.
Whether it's the way he remembers your regular order or the warmth in his greeting, Angelo elevates the simple act of serving food into an art form. It's service like his that transforms a meal into a memory, making the Waffle House on Westshore Blvd more than just a stop for comfort food, but a destination for those in pursuit of service that stands above the rest.
Everyone there is amazing. Angelo remembers my order and greets me with a smile.
