As diamond members we stay in Hiltons often, and the garden inns are usually our fave. The location is great, the people were really nice (Sandi at the bar is amazing!), and we loved the pool area. Sadly, however, we had to cut our stay short a day and scramble to find another room because of an issue they already knew about in our room. To explain... We checked in on Monday and as soon as we got in our room a maintenance guy showed up unannounced asking about a ceiling issue we said we just got here but you can look. He walked in bathroom, looked around, said looks ok and left. Fast forward to Wednesday morning when i get woken up by water pouring into our bathroom through the light fixture from the person showering above us. My plans of getting up, showering, and taking my tour of Temecula thwarted. My husband had to cut his work day short, come back, and we had to pack up. They stated they were basically full so it would help if we just proceeded to San Diego a day earlier than planned (only our hotel there didn't have a room early for us). So i couldn't shower, and you can't check in to a new place until after 3pm and my hubby loses a work day driving us to San Tee where we were able to find a room for one night, only to move again tomorrow. So frustrating, especially when the maintenance guy stated this morning he's been trying to arrange taking care of this issue but it's hard when they won't block out the rooms involved. I find that unacceptable. As an added annoyance, we also lose our larger points accumulation we get staying at a garden inn which is part of the reason we choose to stay there, and they didn't even throw any points our way as a sorry since it was most definitely something they could've prevented. Left us very disappointed in the end. As an added side note the mattress was also of poor quality...
Read moreI would never stay at this location again given my experience. I have stayed at the Hampton and Embassy in Temecula and they are what you would expect. This place is almost brand new, seems very nice in the lobby and main level.||||The room is another story. I booked a larger room and the room being a Garden Inn is decorated like a hospital room. ||||The big concern however was the cleanliness of the room. Upon staying the first night my wife had a very bad reaction to the bedsheets. This has never happened before and we ended up going to a doctor after a week of the reaction not improving to receive an oral steroid to alleviate the rash on her legs. Which is extremely concerning. We did not even stay in the room the second night we left.||||I have tried multiple ways to reach out to a manager to discuss. Even going back in person today to discuss. The manager has not responded back at all. It is concerning that a hotel would either of not washed their sheets or are using a chemical to clean with that someone would be severely allergic to. ||||It really just boils down to I travel to Hiltons all over the country and cannot trust a location to stay with my family if they do not clean their bedding properly and respond and/or react to an issue at their property. ||||As a side note I also ordered room service, was given the wrong order and called down to have the item taken off my bill. I then had the bartender call back multiple times to argue he made the right order. I had to physically bring the wrong item down for him, as I was about to put my daughter to bed. ||||This location is obviously being managed by someone who doesn’t know what...
Read moreAfter having a disappointing stay the previous night at the Embassy Suites in Temecula, we booked in to the Hilton Garden Inn a couple of minutes drive away. What a difference between the two hotels. Both part of the Hilton group. Overall a positive stay with a few small negatives. The hotel and our room was reasonably new, clean and modern looking. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is perfect if you are bringing your dog. They charge a non refundable 75 bucks for the night and you get a doggy gift back at check in. We were in room 230 . It was a nice room but its location in the building wasn’t great. Next to the ice machine, elevator and laundry room. We got a lot of foot traffic going past our room. Not great, especially if you have a dog. Somebody was playing music in the corridor at 6am. Bit rude. You could hear the elevator door ping every time it opened. Room 230 is close to Jefferson Rd and does get a bit of traffic noise. The shower was fine with a decent water pressure. Breakfast was nothing special, just okay. What we liked was that we were allowed our dog with us. Some places ask you to eat outside if you have a dog with you. We ate away from other guests as some people can be a bit funny about pets in eateries, which I understand. The reception and bar/restaurant area is bright, spacious and has plenty of seating. The hotel has a small pool with a nice looking courtyard to hangout. Parking was $10 per night in an underground garage that has an elevator. Overall a good stay, in a hotel that’s near old town Temecula and straight onto the 15 if you’re heading to San Diego. We would stay here again but not...
