Sam Hicks Monument Park is located at the end of Front Street in Old Town Temecula. It is a shot walk to Oldtown and you can always find parking here.
The park is about 2 acres acres and has a beautiful gazebo which is a really nice place to sit and relax. There are a ton of shade trees because Temecula in the summer can get very hot.
The park has nice and clean picnic tables and BBQ grills. It is not usually crowded, but use of the BBQ area can get crowded for a kid's birthday or other family event. The entire are is very clean and you can bring your dog. Keep them on a leash.
The restrooms are clean and safe.

There is a super nice place area for kids and they will be busy about an hour. It is not huge, but wine/grape themed and super cute.
It is a great place to park, go to the park and then walk over...
