My husband and I went to check in to this establishment and were given absolutely horrible customer service right from the start by the "proclaimed" owner of this particular venue. He had been throwing out what was pressumably the front office's trash when I had then walked by him heading to the office to check in. Besides a simple greeting by way of a head nod in my general direction, there had been no other determination marking him as the so-called "owner", let alone one of the front office staff employees. I didn't even know he worked there. Upon arriving at check-in, I had waited patiently for someone, anyone really, to come to the window to check my husband and I into a room, when the same gentlemen who had been throwing away his trash just prior to me arriving at that window had then walked passed behind me asking, as if annoyed for having to do so, if I had needed something. I then inquired about perhaps seeing a room before we checked-in and to my pleasant surprise he had actually turned down my request due to COVID procedures and their cleaning standards. However, outside of that one act of thoroughness, he had also made the decision in that same moment to place his personal phone's notifications and content of such at a higher importance than my husband's and my business leaving me standing there to wait indefinitely in lue of actual customer service. There were no cars in the parking lot which pretty much speaks for itself at that point when all the surrounding places are full and I should have known that before inquiring. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone and to the owner himself, I would most definitely recommend a few lessons in customer service etiquette and attention to detail. But then again, not everyone is cut out for being in a business where the customer comes first; especially before your...
Read moreWe stayed here for 7 days in June 2019. It was a nice hotel and they kept it well. The owner/managers were very nice until we had a problem. The local Adidas Outlet had a big sale and we bought over $1500 of clothes for my son to go back to school. All clothes had tags on them. I put them in the drawers in the room. When we checked out, my son forgot to clean out the drawers, so we called them as soon as we realized we had left the clothes. I called the owner/manager. He said they did not have the clothes or know anything about them. The room had been flipped twice since our stay, so either the housekeepers took the clothes or the housekeepers did not check the drawers when they cleaned after us and a subsequent guest took the clothes. The owner/manager said he trusted his housekeepers explicitly, but I suggested maybe the housekeepers didn't check the drawers and the next guest(s) took the clothes. He was not willing to help try to track down the clothes, just said "We are not responsible" - which of course, they aren't, by the letter of the law. But we don't have a lot of money and these clothes were my son's entire wardrobe for 8th grade. I hope whoever took the clothes back for a refund or kept them for themselves enjoyed the clothes. Regardless, I would dissuade you from staying here in case a problem arises. The value of a hotel is not in the "good times" - it's when there is a hiccough. That's when you find out what kind of...
Read moreSo this review is a tough one because the rooms here are really nice. They aren't huge but they come with an iron, blow dryer, fridge, microwave and even a coffee maker. The beds are super comfy and the rooms are decorated very nicely. Consisting of the bed, a nice writing desk and a chair with an ottoman. The sound walls are insulated well keeping heat or cold in and sound out. During the week you can pretty much show up at any hour and get room on the weekends due to its vicinity to the old town bars it gets pretty full. All the rooms at the location are non smoking and they do not allow pets of any kind. My main issue with this place is the random rates they quote you and the weird amounts of tax they charge. (Weekday rate is anywhere from 55 to 99 dollars. Weekend rates are from 110 to 200 a night) The prices are made up on the spot and change day to day even if you are the only guest. Be prepared to threaten to go to the Motel 6 across the street to get the best price for the night. Check out is 11AM if you want a late check out be prepared to fork out 20 dollars an hour. I've been staying at this little inn for several years and if you can get over the haggling and random charges it's a nice room within miles of the wineries, bars and casino. I say check it out if...
