I wasnât gonna do this since it was so long ago, but I figure why not save someone else the trouble, and since itâs something Iâm still remediating - why not. The first two photos were my hair before. Long, tons of volume, soft etc. the third photo was my request photo, and the other photos are what I left the salon looking like after going to see Raquel. Found her on instagram, thought she looked good and the rest is history. It was very pleasant when I got to the salon, we initially were gonna discuss extensions and by the end I didnât want to pull the trigger just yet and opted for a trim instead. I showed Raquel the inspo photo, and she said cool doable. I hadnât had bangs in some time, and wanted something a bit different than my norm. She said she could do it, and I requested long layers. LONG. I would never in my life have expressed short layers (which she claimed I said, wrong). I shouldâve known something was off immediately and my anxiety didnât let me say anything so she proceeded to hack off all my hair. And when I say HACK OFF, I mean there was no structure to her cutting, she just grabbed a piece of the crown of my hair and immediately started chopping clean across in HUGE CHUNKS. WHICH, did I mention she started chopping g clean across with THINNING SHEARS? Yeah, took them bad boys and cut clean across my hair and damaged my cuticles. I asked her, âso how long have you been cutting hairâ and she said 11-13 years, cool youâd she knew what she was doing. Definitely not. Completely McGeyvered my hair. She styled it when she was done and so I left feeling pretty and then I knew something was terribly wrong when the base of my neck felt so heavy and the top felt like there was nothing. I even told her, âI got approached by the fitness brand of my dreams and have a photo shoot next weekâ which youâd think sheâd be a little more inclined to listen to me when I said long layers with bangs, but no. Not the case. I have been struggling for months to grow out my hair and it is still so choppy and gross. I went to another salon and the woman was appalled at what my hair looked like. I left with a glorified mullet and still have the remnants. Anyway, hopefully someone reads down to this point and rethinks their decision. (I did reach out to her after and tell her my concerns and she offered to give me extensions for free but I figure why make the same...
Read moreArtisan is the best salon I have ever been to. The experience is phenomenal from start to finish, so much so that I come in every week to get a FREE blowout, and it is hands down the best part of my week. Not only for the gorgeous hair that I am always guaranteed to leave with, but because I have such a great time hanging out with an espresso martini, having fun conversation, and watching Lauren have an absolute blast teaching, encouraging, and inspiring her stylists. She recently did a transformation on my hair, with a brand new, completely custom palette of warmer blondes that instantly brightened my skin and enhanced my eyes. She also did my first-time extensions, smoothing treatment, eyebrow microblading (holy cow donât even get me started on how incredible she is at microblading), and wow did I feel like a completely new woman afterward! Artisan is like a luxury barber shop for women (and men!), as if every client is a celebrity receiving the utmost attention and pampering, in a friendly and fun environment. Zero stuck up vibes here!
Laurenâs passion for teaching and sharing everything she has learned in her many years in the industry is evident in everything she does, and I can honestly say that I have never been in the presence of a more talented and hardworking group of people who truly love and support each other, and have so much fun while they do it! It has been such an honor to feel like part of the Artisan family, watching them grow and be recognized for their incredible talent, hard work, and success- the latest being their win of the Localâs Choice Award for Temeculaâs Best In the Beauty Industry! As someone with a chronic illness who has limited energy, struggles with self-care at times, and canât get out socially very often, coming to Artisan (after years of following Laurenâs artistry on Instagram!) has had such a resoundingly positive impact on my life. This salon is the REAL DEAL, in ways that I didnât even know a...

Itâs been too long since Iâve gotten my hair done, just over a year. I think as moms we tend to forget about our own self care at times.
My hair was so grown out, I actually had cut it myself a few months ago đ Iâve been getting a ton of gray hair. I contacted Jen (@fabhairbyjen on Instagram). I swear that woman is magic. I shared with her my ideas about gray blending. Iâm not the biggest fan up keeping up with roots, it gets pricey so we figured out something to make work that can grow out looking great.
The salon vibe is absolutely incredible. The girls working were super warm and sweet. A client was getting her hair done for her wedding and I loved hearing about it. Happiness is truly contagious.
My hair is super dark so I knew it wouldnât be the easiest process but oh my gosh Jen did amazing. My hair stayed not only beautiful, but strong and full and healthy. I couldnât recommend Jen enough.
One of the best things about social media is getting recommendations and doing a deep dive to read more on what you find. I wanted my hair a certain way and when I heard about Jen, the first thing I did was do that kind of deep dive on her instagram page (@fabhairbyjen). Took the chance and Iâm SO glad I did. Iâve gotten my hair done a ton, even trying to do it myself unfortunately. I left feeling beautiful and itâs like her energy makes you feel good entirely. She listens and will guide you in the right way to help you achieve what youâre looking for. You wonât feel rushed and...
