Horrible 1st time experience travel frequently atleast -2 weeks a month for work Definitely won't be staying or using hyatt ever again and will not recommend. I arrived after driving 3 hours all I wanted to do was take a hot shower when I went to the restroom it was like the room wasn't "turned over" correctly the toilet was obviously not attended nor the sink(attached photos) i Said ok whatever just flush it, well the toilet wasn't flushing, just my luck iguess. I get it everyone is short staffed , with that being said I called the front desk gal told me to go down she would change me rooms as i gathered my stuff and half way out the door the phone rings , front desk tells me she can't switch me rooms but would send some one to attend to the toilet well after waiting an hour , of me having to shower and do my own thing , he finally arrives .. then when I called the next day the manager "wasn't available " .......convenient

I run a nonprofit Fellowship program for young adults and needed a space what would be affordable, convenient for walking, and offer a space to work out of. I could not have asked for a better experience on every level with this location. Perhaps the best way to describe it is with part of the thank you note I sent to our contact at the hotel: “The room accommodations were wonderful as were all of the facilities in the building. Providing us with the break out room in the back of the dining area was also more than I had hoped for. Now throw in the friendly staff at every level and the courtesy at which they approached each of their jobs... this truly was a memorable experience and I hope to bring my group back year after year.” The breakfast was great, the location amazing, the roof top pool is the icing on the cake. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Honestly this hotel was amazing overall. Best service I've ever had at a hotel that was not a resort, and room layout very nice and amazing rooftop lounge and pool. Felt spoiled. Unfortunately, we didn't sleep well because of the very very loud HVAC system right next to the bed. It turned on and off so many times throughout the night, my daughter said she felt like she woke up 3,000 times (she is 14 so fairly dramatic 😂) But no joke, it sounded like a rocket was launching next door when it would turn on. Really so unfortunate when everything else in the hotel is excellent.

Here's my honest review. I enjoyed my stay here but there were some draw backs to the experience that I think are worth noting.

Staying at this hotel comes with pros and cons :

Pros: 1)Bed is fairly comfy 2) location is great (but so are a lot of hotels in tempe) 3) Rooftop pool is small but enjoyable 4) Maintenance was prompt when responding to a request to replace the battery in the smoke detector 5) price point is not too bad, in my opinion

Cons:

  1. Hotel room was not completely cleaned. ( I found a huge clump of somebody else's hair in the shower)

  2. When I went to the breakfast, I asked the staff for a cup of water. I was told only members get complimentary water and I would have to buy a bottle. (I didn't realize water - a basic human need- is a membership perk)

P.S. this is NOT the employee's fault. This has to be a company policy thing but I think it is a bad one. Especially in Arizona in the summer.

  1. Not my experience but two other guests (different traveling parties) told me that they were given a room someone else was already staying in

  2. There is really limited clothes storage in the bedroom and towel hangers in the bathroom. There are two closets with hangers though!

  3. A couple of the front desk clerks made fun of me (not too quietly) when I asked a question about the check in process. I brushed it off but it strikes me as unprofessional and unnecessary. I know we all make mistakes but seeing as check in is a huge part of their job, I'm less keen on...

Employees were very kind and were very helpful. Sofia was very welcoming when I checked in and the person at checkout was super kind too (forgot their name). The hotel is nice and clean with a lot of space for sitting in the lobby. We got a room on a high floor with an awesome view of town! The pool was way smaller than expected, which is fine but it is hard to social distance in so we did not go in the pool. Breakfast had great basic options for omnivores and vegetarians. For vegans, there were fruit cup options which were okay and oatmeal cups which were good. I wish they had options for plant based people, they did have potatoes which was awesome! Coffee was delicious.Parking is a garage that is nearby but separate from hotel so it can be a hassle if you have a lot of bags, either park in the loading zone to unload or find a bellhop (only two at hotel). The hotel is near many attractions and restaurants and near the freeway but not so close that you hear traffic. Our room was spacious, bed was big, bathroom was clean. One weird thing about the shower was that the shower temperature got scolding hot even at the coldest temperature which was very odd. Overall, it was a comfortable stay and I would consider...

This is a modern hotel with amenities and decor to match. There are various room layouts to choose from, including rooms that are ADA friendly (mobility and hearing impaired). If you're in Tempe to visit ASU, this hotel is very conveniently located next to campus. However, you will have to Uber/Lyft to it because they do not offer an airport shuttle.

The amenity I found most useful is the included hot breakfast. However, I do have to hold 1 star back because the management is unable/unwilling to adjust weekend breakfast hours to accommodate large groups. Our stay was related to a swim meet hosted at the ASU pool. And due to the early warm-up times required of swimmers, there was a surge of hotel guests who needed breakfast early in the morning, which starts at 630 AM on weekdays. However, the hotel was inflexible with starting breakfast at 630 on Saturday and Sunday instead of 700 AM despite experiencing the surge and rush Friday morning.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and hopefully in the future, management can be more flexible accommodating large groups for...
