What appears to be exquisite and elegant on the surface is actually disappointing when you wipe off the makeup.
What follows is not a bad review of the resort or Casino. It is however a regrettable review of what was supposed to be their finest facility and restaurant which is The Lodge & their bar & restaurant at the “fine” resort area.
Every part of my visit was fabulous - except where I stayed. Just because you were once great as the 5 star awards on the walls may indicate doesnt mean you ‘drop the mic’ and stop. My series of unfortunate events is too long to expand upon. But lt me list them -
My key to my room failed to work no less than 4 times - the reason given was I needed to keep it away from my phone & earbuds - I resulted to holding the key in front of me the entire visit because clearly it was a criss between nitro glycerin & a newborn - we are in a digital era. Hey Turning Stone you are making millions a year...figure it out & change your key system
The bar onsite wasn’t open Sunday and the other days it was slow with weak drinks - totally dissatisfied
The restaurant? I asked for something really fine and chocolate - not cake...they did share that the private party in the back had the luxury of a great chocolate desert but sadly it wasn’t available for me - so Zi ordered my backup which was Creme Brûlée...which after 20 minutes never came. But hey my double espresso came....cold and really not a “double” but was cold coffee. It was admitted to me that it was something akin to a K-Cup
When I couldn’t get into my room I went back to the front desk to rekey once again and at the time I had allot of personal items which I didn’t want want to carry with me....left them at my door only to come back with them gone....yes they were stolen
This is merely a fraction of my unfortunate events
Should you go to Turning Stone Resort Casino I would strongly suggest staying in The Tower or your car. Font stay at their “high end” lodging because they have a long ways to go to either claim that or reclaim that.
To be clear I love the resort and casino. But The Lodge is simply not worth considering. I’m frankly so disappointed and confused by my experience. To make matters worse I was never truly acknowledged nor given any kind of consideration for my ongoing debacles.
They have a long way to go to even be considered as among the finest hotels which they proudly claim to be. The proof is in the pudding or shall I say the cold coffee and...
Read moreOct 9th-Oct 14th I stayed at the lodge at turning stone. The stay was far from a relaxing time, there was multiple people yelling and partying late into the night , on top of slamming doors. There was an abundance of children running around making a obnoxious amount of noise running and jumping into the pool and hot tub splashing people. My balcony was covered in spit and other mysterious fluids so I could not use the balcony. The wall paper in my bedroom is peeling off the wall and the bathroom consistently smells like mold and mildew. The private room at the spa skana was a huge waste of time and we were gyped out of 15-20 mins of our massage and 15-20 mins of the vip room so that was $800 down the drain and a ruined experience that was supposed to be relaxing. They hosted a wedding at the lodge with 250 people the third-fourth night I was there and it was a nightmare, I couldn't relax or hang with my wife because there was just an a tremendous amount of noise and people coming into the building using the elevators, you physically could not go anyware due to the amount of people there.
On check out I got told to park my car all the way towards the end "the front spots are for people here for the wedding" instead of directly in front to make loading my luggage easier, while doing this the bellboy lost a bag with 4-5 pairs of shoes in it, as well as knocked the luggage off the cart and unbeknownst to me at the time smashed my wifes nintendo switch to smithereens. I brought all this to there attention and they said drive to us and we can file a report, after saying I live 2 hours away I was still told I have to drive up there to file a report and maybe they can try to do something. My wife and I make a yearly week long trip to the lodge but this year is the last time we will be going the cleanliness and overall atmosphere is not what it used to be, it is far from a resort now it is more of a party location to have night...
Read moreOur stay at The Lodge at Turning Stone was truly a fabulous and relaxing getaway, made even more special as we celebrated my parents’ 44th anniversary. Every year, we eagerly look forward to this tradition, and it never disappoints.
The Lodge offers the perfect setting for unwinding, with Skana Spa being a highlight that never fails to deliver. It’s the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. Dining is always a treat, with each restaurant offering something unique. We indulged in the delicious Italian cuisine at Pino Bianco, which is a must-try. Upstate Tavern had some of the best boozy drinks we’ve ever tried, and the vibe was perfect for a laid-back evening. Wildflowers, with its charming atmosphere, is ideal for both breakfast and dinner, and room service adds an extra level of convenience. And who could forget Opals? The perfect spot for satisfying those late-night chocolate cravings.
One of the things that truly makes The Lodge feel like home is the staff. They treat us like family, and it’s so clear how much they care about making our experience memorable each and every year. After all these years, they’ve become like a second family to us.
The entertainment, gaming, and overall property experience are always top-notch, making for an exciting and fulfilling stay. We can’t wait to return this year and celebrate again. The Lodge has a special place in our hearts, and we’re already looking forward to...
