Great chef and service. This was my second time dining here. It was every much as wonderful as the first time. Service is top of the line: Friendly, knowledgeable and experienced. The chef is an artist when it comes to plate presentation and the taste is amazing in every bite. The blend of flavors engage every taste bud in such a way you want to take it slow to savor every bite.
Both my spouse and I are vegan. Only one choice for us from the appetizer to desert, but each were delicious. Chef was willing to make a pasta and vegetable dish but we were happy with the menu choices. We started with the hummus, beet salad and green salad, grilled artichoke and ended with the blueberry sorbet. I have no regrets on the single choice.
The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Carries the flow of the Native American spa style of the building adjoining hotel. We sat in “our” corner by the window. Each table is adorned with a single fresh Calla Lilly (I think, not an expert in flowers) in a glass vase, an oil candle in a vase like holder; tall ceilings that provides an open feeling and aids in keeping your neighbors food smell interfering with your own food masterpiece; plenty of space between tables; great garden views; comfortable chairs.
Service is top of the line and NOT pretentious. they all have a friendly demeanor, calm and helpful. They present themselves well and are very knowledgeable. When you leave your chair, the clean your spot and refold your napkin. When you are seated, they take note of your outfit and provide you with an appropriate color napkin so it is not an obvious contrast to your outfit. Finished dishes are never sitting long on the table and are never cleared until both of us were done. Time between meals were timed well. Enough time to sit and enjoy conversation but not extensive where you are wondering what is happening. Yes Wildflowers, I noticed the small things that others may not.
I highly recommend even for those who are plant based. For those of us who are stricter, note that the balsamic has Honey. Although if you let the server know, they will tell you. I love it here and will definitely...
Read moreMy fiancé and I stayed at The Lodge at Turning Stone. This restaurant is inside of the hotel. We looked at their menu that they have displayed outside of the restaurant. We went back to the room to get ready and we booked a reservation online where it says “make a reservation.” Reservation was automatically booked and accepted through open table. When we arrived we were not allowed to eat inside the restaurant because we were unaware of their strict dress code. This was not displayed at all while booking reservations. I think it’s very unprofessional and messy for this establishment to accept my reservation so fast and not notify us of any dress code. It was very hot and my fiancé only brought shorts with him. We were not able to experience the inside of the restaurant that had about 4 tables full. We sat at the bar outside of the restaurant and ate their food at the bar. The bartender Faith was amazing and made us phenomenal drinks. The steak from the restaurant was good. The scallops were pretty mid. In my opinion, based on experience eating fine dinning across the country, the food wasn’t good enough to have such a strict complicated dress code like that. The last time we ordered a steak it was $500 with no dress code. We spent about $500 for our whole meal at Wildflower. Its too bad we couldn’t experience the...
Read moreWe recently made reservations for an anniversary celebration. My mother has severe chronic pancreatitis and all the amazing fare at this restaurant would be totally off limits, but the chef spoke with her the day before and created options for her so that she did not need to miss out on the family dinner. The food was hands down amazing as it always is. Part way through our meal other guest arrived at tables next to us and they very clearly had pre-gamed before their reservation and were loud and disruptive, 100% counter to the carefully curated atmosphere that the restaurant provides. The management cut them off but said they were still welcomed to order food. They decided instead to storm out and create a scene in the lobby of the hotel while a few remained behind to berate the waitress who was attempting to provide them service. Our group greatly appreciated the management’s approach for maintaining the atmosphere that one pays for while dining there. We love Wildflowers and plan many more special dinners out for...
