Ebb Tide Inn and Suites — Hotel in Treasure Island

The shower in my drain wouldnt drain...

The water level when the tub was "empty" still stayed in the drain where I could see it, it never drained fully. When taking a shower the tub starts filling up immediately and your feet and legs are stuck sitting in the gross water of the pipes. The floor must not have been mopped because we noticed on the first day walking without socks on yielded dirty feet bottoms. Other than cleanliness issues the room was fine. The pool was a nice temp and there wasnt really anyone in it any time we went in. But who wants to feel like their feet are filthy their whole vacation and they cant get them clean? Coming back from the ocean or pool and you add some dirty hotel pipe residue water to your feet. Was pretty lame from that aspect. I have nice blue and lime green nikes and putting my feet even with socks on into them was gross. Felt amazing to get home and shower and clean my feet. A hotel should feel like a home away from home .. At least when it comes to a shower... and I didnt really get that feeling from the ebb tide because of my issues.

When we checked in the maid only had a broom that we saw no mop so I dont think the floors are too clean in these units as i had mentioned before our soles of our feet were picking up tons of dirty from the floors of the room from the moment we walked in.

Extremely disappointed in our experience with this hotel. While we did not get to stay, and the hotel is accepting no accountability for the situation, it leaves a very poor impression on us. We booked our hotel through booking.com back on February 12th. Today, March 13th, we got a call from the hotel and the voicemail stated that there are some repairs that were still being done and the room is not available. Nothing was said in the voicemail that the reservation should have never been accepted in the first place. When I finally got ahold of someone at the hotel, she completely blamed booking.com and said the hotel canceled their account with booking.com and they should not have been taking reservations. She said that she logged into make sure that they didn't have any bills with booking.com and then noticed the reservations. She said that booking.com was taking reservation but since they canceled the account they were not coming through. It didn't really make sense. There is some responsibility that falls on the hotel if you work with a 3rd party booking site and the hotel is not taking any responsibility at all. So, now with 2.5 weeks out and most affordable options booked in the area, our vacation will likely not happen. Some accountability would have been nice, but it was all excuses and blaming...

I can not believe that the owner of this establishment would have this "manager" Shannon. She caused me to lose a night which is money. Because she brags about how she is the manager and what the owners won't know won't hurt them. But when Brenda one of the owners shows up all that Shannon promised is now null and void in the owners presence. So I lost in essence 2 full day and nights at this hotel. I will not be going back. I called to speak to the owner. Shannon told me she will not let me talk to Brenda. She states no one would believe me anyway cause she is the "manager". Within the first hour of me getting to the hotel Shannon was telling me of the tragedy of her boyfriend sleeping with a customer and how she wanted to hurt this woman but Brenda supposedly told her she had to be nice to her. Shannon told me she was good with it tho cause when the woman's husband came back from his fishing Shannon said she would make sure this man knew because she knew he would beat this woman half to death when he found out.
