Treasure Island Beach Club — Hotel in Treasure Island

I had booked not one but two 1-bedroom units at this resort for June 18-25,2022 with RCI.My first reservation was booked on Sept. 9,2020 and my second booking for this week was made on Dec. 16, 2021 after realizing more family was wanting to go and needing to accomodate. I received an email on 5/23/22 at 7:55pm that my reservations had been canceled. After calling RCI the next day thinking there had been a mistake, I was told the resort was having "structural issues" and had to cancel my reservations. After receiving this information, I then called the resort only to find out that they are open and they denied having structural issues but was working/repairing some decks. This leads me to believe that they have targeted those that have booked with a timeshare exchange to cancel. Here it is less than a month away and I have no place to take my family which has been looking forward to this vacation for months now. If this resort is unwilling to treat timeshare rentals with the same dignity and respect as other renters, they don't need to participate in a timeshare exchange. If I could give 0 stars I would. Staff isn’t available on weekends. WE FOUND COCKROACHES IN OUR ROOMS! When we complained about the roaches, they literally asked if we wanted to clean it up?? Didn’t see a single house keeper! The rooms are VERY outdated! The beds are stiff and uncomfortable! The kitchen is smaller then the damn bathroom! There’s no oven! The fridge is rusted! The kitchen is literally so small, there isn’t any drawers. The stove top burners don’t even match the dials, and the floors are disgusting. The bathroom is musty and very outdated, our entire room smelled like urine the whole stay. Not to mention. Smelled like stale cigarette smoke! The one bedroom, has patio doors to the street, and there isn’t even a dead bolt. Just a dingy handle lock! Not very safe at all! Considering the other door has 2 deadbolts, the dish ware is very cheap! Literally set a glass in the sink and it shattered. The chairs smell like urine. It’s absolutely disgusting. The ONLY upside is the beach is directly outside the resort. Would defiantly NOT recommend this place. Spend your money elsewhere unless you want prissy smelling roach filled...

Best for local staycationers /or out-of-state families of all ages. Dated interiors here, but very clean and spacious for a timeshare property now transitioning to beach-side vacation rentals. Great location and facility as a whole.

However, as of July 2021, this property has fairly new front-desk person who could use some service training befitting of beach paradise hoteliers.

Parking sucks in the whole of Treasure Island. Easily towed here and town's signage confusing if not read VERY carefully. 🧐🤬😰😤🤯Pinellas beach-side transportation is best for pedestrians, rideshares or bicycles. Why drive when you can get fit in the sunshine 🌞?

Property is very close to a nice Waffle House. 🧇🥞Of course order hash browns there...my suggestion is "Scattered/smothered/covered & topped."
