I reserved a single queen sized bed, downstairs, non-smoking room around 7 AM for two-nights with my discover card for 129.00 (including tax). I arrived around 9:30 PM. The lobby was no longer open, and a sign directed me to the side window slot; there was no bell at this side window and I had to wait over 3-minutes until someone finally appeared. I informed him that I am a senior and had a reservation. He informed me that I had reserved a downstairs king-size bed, handicapped room two-nights for $129.22. I told him that I had not; I stated that I had reserved a queen-sized bed downstairs in a non-handicapped room. He said that was not true, and brought over his computer screen somehow believing that it proves that I am wrong. I said I could bring in my computer that would show what I said was true. He then essentially held me hostage, repeatedly arguing that I am wrong and showing me the screen, asking if I wanted a refund and then find another motel. This went on and on for over ten minutes. I learn to just stay silent hoping that he would eventually stop talking and issue me a room. I finally told him that I was tired and to just process my room, but unbelievably, he still continued to argue for at least another 5-minutes, repeating the same things over and over again. He even tried to get me to admit that I was wrong repeatedly, but I just reminded him (several times) that I was extremely tired, and just wanted him to finish processing my room quickly (I had eye surgery the next day and needed rest). Finally, it seemed like a miracle, but he stopped talking and gave me a room key for the handicapped room, and I quickly left before he started talking again. Since I do not have a handicapped sign on my vehicle, I could not park in front of my room; the parking lot was fairly full, and ended up making several trips carrying my gear about a half a block to my room. To my surprise, between my trips, this same Motel 6 clerk tracked me down and unbelievably started talking AGAIN for at least another 5-minutes. He had apparently checked and saw that I had indeed reserved a downstairs regular room with a queen-sized bed. But instead of apologizing for repeatedly calling me a liar, he astonishingly blamed it all on "the corporate office," and repeatedly explained that he was innocent of any blame. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO HORRIBLY TREATED AT ANY MOTEL IN MY LIFE, AND I AM 65-YEARS OLD! It is unethical to...
Read moreTo Whom it May Concern, I have to say out of all the motel 6 hotels I have stayed in my most recent one was absolutely horrible. after booking it through their website I was shocked at what I saw, so much so I left after seeing the state of the room. When I checked in there were 2 people in the check in area side area front lobby was closed, that didn’t have masks on and the receptionist did not correct them. Yes I did request a smoking room, however there were stains and cigarette burns on the bedding, and stains on the sheets some that looked like dried blood! The door had holes in it like someone had kicked it in. The floor has multiple burns in it and was very sticky. No way would I dare to take off my shoes! The walls and edging were very dirty. Literally weeks worth of dirt and I have no doubt one spot on the floor was blood, along with the curtain. To add to it there were cockroaches in the bathroom (picture attached) There are were people hanging out in the stair well harassing guests for money as they walked up to go to their rooms. I was alone, going to my room and this made me feel very uncomfortable. One man grabbed my arm when he asked me for money and I sad no. I hit him with my bag at the same time and blatantly told him not to touch me or I’d call the police. This whole experience was outrages and disgusting!!! Especially with everything currently going on and the level of sanitation standards required by hotels and lodging facilities.
If I hadn’t have gotten a military rate my room would’ve cost almost 100.00? This wouldn’t be a place I could be paid to stay at had I’ve known. There are other hotels close by who charge just a little more and are 110% cleaner and safer. I work In the hotel industry and come into town every few weeks in my days of to relax and thought with the military discount I would be just as comfortable and happy. I was wrong. I know the guidelines set by the CDC and in no way is this “roach motel” meeting the standards required. This place doesn’t even meet health and welfare standards that were required before COVID. This place is above a few simple missed things and is putting people at risk. Be assured that I will be reporting this hotel to the BBB, Health department, CDC and the local newspaper. This place should not be...
Read moreHonestly, I was not happy at all I don't ever fill out these things out but I feel like It is necessary. When we first arrived our card was charged before we even got there hours before we got thereperiod Then once we get there we had about 4 hotel rooms between the whole group we were in town for a big show that was planned for months. We ended up getting there about 7 we planned on leaving for the show at 9 we were all in the middle of getting ready and waiting for the rest of our group and we were told that we were making other guests uncomfortable and that we all needed to leave off of the property to meet up. Mind you we did not have loud music on we were not being hostile towards anyone it was a Friday night at 7 clock and just getting ready we are all family we even had children with us. so we had to leave early and didn't finish getting ready before we had left I went to order a pizza while I was getting ready and before I was able to pick up the phone a huge cockroach was crawling on it it was so disgusting! I wanted to go somewhere else but it was already too late and my husband said we did not have time bc we were being forced to leave. so before I left I made sure all my bags were is zipped up tight and no food was left out when we had got back to the hotel it was pretty late I want to say around 11 or 12 I just wanted to relax in the hotel and watch some TV for some reason the TV was not working I called down to the front office and I was told to call back in the morning at 7 that there was no other rooms available I then informed them I don't need another room if somebody can just come and fix the TV that will be fine if I wait until the morning that is when I am checking out and then that defeats the purpose and then the front desk just repeated to call in the morning at 7 it was honestly the worst hotel I have stayed at and travelling doing shows we have stayed at a lot. I am very disappointed in my stay and I will not be staying...
